This was a “last meal” request before having oral surgery and I must say that it was AMAZING! I ordered the small better boy and my husband got the steak sandwich both were piping hot and delicious! I regret not taking a photo of his because it looked awesome and was plated very well. It was great seeing Mrs. Judy and Chris, our server (I think her name is Allie) was so pleasant and attentive, fantastic atmosphere. I will be enjoying the rest of my pizza tonight and tomorrow, thank you for a great experience

I read some reviews on the service being slow. I did not experience this at all. We are moving from Dallas to Fort Payne. One of my biggest adjustments is the speed in which things get done. I’m slowly adapting to the slower pace of life but this was the fastest service I have had in Fort Payne. Seated immediately, drink order taken within seconds, starter order taken as soon as the waitress returned with the drinks. She let us get started on our appetizers then took our order. We ordered 2 pizzas and watched the cars coming through Main Street. The appetizer was ‘ok’. It actually had me fearing the pizza since my wife ordered some cranberry covered pizza and another without meat. My fears were wasted. The pizzas were amazing. I don’t remember the names…sorry. once we were done, our waitress was there with a box and the check. She never allowed our drinks to reach half way. Loved the service and pizza. I’ll be back.

Waitress wasn’t nice extremely rude. Waited 2 hours for appetizers and pizzas to be brought out. The pizzas were smaller than we ordered and burnt, tried to get waitresses attention to see if she could fix the issue but she never came back to the table except to throw the receipt and change.

It’s was okay, they just opened, so i understand the wait time and all that. However I just feel the Location in Albertville has bigger servings for the price, the pizza we ordered was $27.00 and the salad was $8.99. The one in Albertville has bigger portions. So if you wanna order a large salad go ahead and order 2 at the fort payne location. Food was okay though.

We were a party of nine people and came in for lunch on Thursday. Our waiters name was Payton. We were promptly seated and he took our order for drinks while we waited for the rest of our party. He has a wonderful personality and we had a great first experience at Maters. He helped us from appetizers and our main course. We even talked him into posing for our pictures. The food was excellent and atmosphere was heartwarming. If you get a chance to eat here you will be glad you did.

My husband and I went here around 3 today and we have to say…..AWESOME! We are new to the Fort Payne area and we have tried several restaurants. They have all sucked. Maters food was so good but the service we got from Erica was excellent! Our daughter’s birthday is in a few days and we will be bringing here here for her special birthday dinner.

We stopped in for the first time while we were camping at Desoto State Park. All four of us loved it. Our waitress was Emma and she was great. Miss Judy stopped by and checked on us. She is a sweet heart. We will definitely be back. Hopefully next time we can come later and catch the live music.

We enjoyed our evening at Mater’s. The wings and fried pickles were really good. Lemon pepper wings are very lemony (my mom really liked them), but Sebastien’s special wings won our party of nine over. Ask them for it, not on the menu but it’s sweet, mildly spicy, with maybe a hint of lemon? We all really liked it!!

This is the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Might as well just get frozen pizza, it’d be better and only a fraction of the price. The crust is the main issue here. It’s super doughy and has an awful flavor. The rest of the pizza isn’t good either though. The only people I could imagine enjoying pizza from here are children. Save your money and enjoy some pizza from anywhere else in town, or even out of town. Chattanooga and Rome both have some amazing pizza spots.

Food was okay, wouldn’t miss anything if I never went back. I had the appetizer sampler and manicotti. Sweet tea was light on the sweet part. Restaurant isn’t set up for groups as we had 5 in our party and they had a hard time finding us seating. The waitress was not attentive and didn’t split our checks like we asked, when asking her to correct them she got annoyed. Had live music which was nice, it wasn’t too loud. Wasn’t a terrible experience but worth exploring elsewhere before choosing to eat here again.
