You’d be CRAZY not to give this place five stars. Less than $4 for a 6-inch and less than $7 for a 12-inch. These prices and flavors are out of this world. Make yourself have a better day, stop at sub shop along the way! (Order the vegetarian + bacon)

I have ordered many sandwiches from Sub shop in Jefferson city over the years. Today I ordered one that I have ordered multiple times in the past. A 6″ Veggie, which has been a favorite of mine for years. I realize prices have to go up on occasion and their sandwiches are not over priced, but the Veggie i received today had very little on it and felt as if I just had a bread sandwich. Please don’t skimp on your product. I don’t return to businesses that do that. I will pay for quality, but when you put less on to save you money that skimps on the quality.

I grew up around Jeff and now live out of state. When I come to visit home this is my go to place! The place I crave! I LOVE SUBSHOP! I’ve never had a bad experience! My go to order which is the best thing I’ve ever had is the vegetarian sub with no black olives ( because I don’t like them) and add bacon! SO GOOD! I’m not a vegetarian but it is definitely the best sandwich they have!

While I don’t frequent various eateries in JCMO very much these days, the JC Sub Shop is one of my favorite experiences for sub sandwiches. Probably one of the best uses of an old-school Taco Bell location, the JC Sub Shop does have a small dining area, but don’t let that discourage you from enjoying their subs there or to go. They typically will serve your subs hot, but will also happily serve your subs cold if you like. Also for those who like rye bread, rejoice; the JC Sub Shop offers rye as one of their bread choices. Nothing fancy, just white, wheat and rye but the real star is what’s inside. One of my recommendations? A vegetarian sub with roast beef. You get a very filling sandwich with good portions of both your protein and other toppings. Plus the cheese is nice and gooey, just the way it ought to be on a warm sub. Did I mention the price is right as well? You will get a good sub for your buck here. Definitely worth a visit…or if you’re a regular, definitely worth trying out their various sanwiches.

So I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, but settled on 4 because this is a great place for it being in Jefferson City. The staff was very nice and helpful and their fresh bread was pretty good, especially the rye. However, the overall taste and quality of the sub was just a small step up from subway, but without the cheap price. Nothing really special about this place, but it hits the spot if you’re looking for good place to grab a fresh hot sandwich when you’re in town. It can’t compare with some of the places in St. Louis (especially the shops in “the Hill” neighborhood) or KC, but still a good place for a quick bite.

I have been away from JC for about 16 years. I ordered my favorite for lunch, ft long veggie add horseradish on wheat…it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! I have my whole office hooked!!! Glad to have my sandwich back!

I use to LOVE their food, inexpensive and good BUT I personally feel like they’re unprofessional and racist. When it was great it was great! But the day I had a issue, they hung up on me several times! Very nonchalant and no one apologized. Wouldn’t spend another dime in there after the lack of customer service!
