To cut to chase, some items you can find here and not elsewhere are the fried chicken liver, fried gizzards, and olive-oil fried chicken. And I think they can certainly make the chicken spicier than most other places if you are into the really spicy chicken. Otherwise, I’m not sure other items are worth a detour.

The tteokbokki with chicken on the side is a must! We make and eat a lot of tteokbokki and a lot of fried chicken, but something about this combo here was just out of this world. The chicken balls are good too, as was the banana soju drink.

I finally went to try this place after seeing it advertised like hell on this one Korean drama I watched (Crash Landing on You)…and needless to say, I was disappointed Bon Chon is better I couldn’t tell the difference between their soy garlic or spicy galbi fried chicken…and their soy garlic really didn’t taste like the typical soy garlic chicken And their kimchi fried rice had chicken pieces in it which I found odd since it usually shouldn’t come with that (?) This is one of the best Korean fried chickens in the DMV area, especially for the lunch special sets. We normally get a whole chicken but for the first time, we tried their lunch specials. It includes a choice of your chicken, 1 side, salad, and a drink; all for less than $15-17. The chickens are perfectly fried, crispy outside, juicy inside (as always), and a great portion size for the side and salad. I was surprised.
