The restaurant is beautifully decorated to give off a Japanese vibe. Even the bathroom was fancy. I do recommend making a reservation beforehand as it does get crowded.

We found Genki Izakaya online and were excited to try their Japanese omelet rice, which we had heard great things about. However, we were a bit disappointed with the dish, as it was a bit dry and bland. The other dishes we tried, however, were delicious and well-prepared. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food is definitely on the pricy side, but it is worth it for the quality and service.

The food and atmosphere is amazing. I am thoroughly impressed by each and every dish I have tried here so far. The service is impeccable as well. My waiter was courteous and offered great recommendations. The flying dragon roll was my favorite. The eel was tender and the shrimp tempura had the perfect amount of crunch. I have brought friends and family here for dinner and we had a great time!

Genki Izakaya is a delightful find for Japanese food enthusiasts! The cozy and vibrant setting gives off a welcoming vibe. The menu is a tantalizing journey through Japanese flavors, with a diverse range of dishes that satisfy both traditional and contemporary tastes. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh, and the izakaya-style small plates add a fun twist to the experience. The staff’s attentiveness and knowledge of the menu enhance the dining experience. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Japan in a lively atmosphere, Genki Izakaya is a fantastic choice.

First off I want to say the atmosphere and service here was great when we went! The decor is really nice and modern and the wait staff was super attentive and helpful. The food was pretty good I didn’t have any strong complaints about the food but what I will say is that not a lot of it blew me away at the price point either. The gyoza and meat skewers were probably the two things I wouldn’t put in this category as I think they were really solid and not very overpriced. I’m not unwilling to pay a premium for food that I think is a higher quality but I would definitely say that with some of the menu you’re paying more for the ambiance, service, and presentation which I thought was fine for a nice night out but I don’t know that I’d consider it something to pay a premium for if you’re just looking to have a high quality delicious meal. I really enjoyed the meal here and I’d definitely recommend it to others but I’d probably say to avoid some of the items that are a bit overpriced in my opinion!

Great food, great service. The waitress was extremely attentive, constantly telling waters and never keeping us waiting to order. The location is small, so either come early or call ahead. 4 of us got there at 5:30 on a Sunday, and there were tables, but it quickly filled up.

On the pricier side but you’re paying for the service and the ambiance. Genki Izakaya doesn’t look like much from the outside but get transported to a Japanese fare with a modern twist once you’re inside. We ordered the Ube fries (highly recommend – although you might want to pace yourself on the delicious sauce that comes with it because additional sauce will come with an extra charge), sky and crumble 007 special roll, and the blue fin tuna foie gras with uni. everything was delicious but note the portions are pretty small. In the future I’d probably treat this place as more of a drinks and tapas spot rather than a spot for a full meal. loved the experience regardless.

We had the tornado omelets fried rice, katsu curry rice, uno chawanmushi, sausage, meatball, pork belly skewers ,Japanese wings, volcano roll, sweet potato roll, and the torched sea scallop. Everything was amazing, but for the meatball, it was just too sweet. The service here is very good, the servers were very attentive.

Food was absolutely delicious . Started with 3 appetizers. Yakitori platter, tuna tartare and takoyaki. I’m not a big fan of tartare due to its texture but I definitely recommend their tuna tartare. We got a drink which was more for show, taste wasn’t bad but have had better cocktails. We got Katsu don and tornado omelet fried rice which were both pretty good too! If your a lover of tea like myself they did have genmai green tea which was very comforting and helped settle everything. We finished off with a matcha crepe cake I believe which was really good too. If your a fan of matcha , that crepe cake is definitely worth a try.
