I have been frequenting Mega BBQ for a few weeks now and I am yet to be disappointed. Their portions are large and well priced. Their chicken salad will fill you up, their Ecuadorian Style Churrasco (steak, eggs, rice, fries, plantains, avacado) will fill you up for the whole day and you still will have leftovers.

First off i only go for empanadas, but the girl working the counter tonight made that my last time , i walked thru the back she was cleaning the bathroom then came to the counter with the same gloves to serve me. she had two pairs on only took off one NO HAND HYGIENE what so ever.. Then she went back and finish cleaning whit the same pair after serving me i thru the food out and call the health department.

This place was a regular for me and my husband. We were going there at least once a week if not two. Unfortunately we saw how dirty they are. For example the cook, he cleaned his shoes with a towel that right after he used the same to grab dishes. Another time they were cooking ribs and chicken. They put degreaser for grill while the meat was there! Disgusting!!!

None of the employees were wearing masks. The cashier behind the counter was very polite and gave me a refund after the 2 cooks refused to wear masks. I didn’t insist but it was confused why a restaurant did not want to protect their customers. It would’ve been nice to try their food but we didn’t feel comfortable. The open kitchen didn’t look very clean either.

Lunch special is very good! Large bowl of soup, can of soda, and lunch entree for $8.75. We tried the steak and the rib meals. Rice and beans came as sides, and we’re tasty. The steak was excellent, large portion and cooked perfectly. Very flavorful. The ribs were very good, but just a few tiny pieces with almost no meat on them. I’m certain if there was more meat I’d give them another try.
