I’ve been coming to Changsho since it opened in 1993 — the food was good from the start and I’ve been a customer ever since. There was a period a few years back when the food wasn’t quite up to standard, but now the cuisine is top notch (in a time where finding really good Chinese cuisine is difficult, even in major cities). The crispy egg rolls are excellent — completely in a different league from the egg rolls one usually gets elsewhere. Crispy Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Mu Shu Pork are also wonderful. The Mu Shu Pork has a wonderful smoky flavor that makes this dish stand out from what people might be used to.

Bad attitude from the waitress. I was greeted at the door with “we will be closing in 30 minutes”. I’ll tell you I’m a chef at an italian restaurant, and I will never in my life greet a customer with “we will close in 30 minutes” remark. Main dishes don’t even come with white rice. A solid “will not return” restaurant. The chicken lo-mein doesn’t even have chicken. It’s a scam of a restaurant. Plus, the restroom smell is gross. The owner told me he has been doing it for 35 years with a rude and unapologetic attitude. Seems that in those 35 years, has not learned how to treat a customer.

I’m from New York and grew up on excellent Chinese take out, I’ve eaten in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and I worked in the Chinatown area in Boston for years – and this place is in my my top 5 Chinese I’ve had.

Very overpriced. I ordered steamed chicken and broccoli online and put “just with broccoli” in the comments, and they gave me broccoli with no chicken, but charged me for chicken. really frustrating.
