My boyfriend took me here because I said I wanted tacos. Apparently he loves this place. I ordered the birria tacos and he got like some soup and rice thing. My food was okay overall. Our server was really nice. The atmosphere was cool too. We enjoyed our lil lunch date overall.

To my surprise, I was expecting something else but was this particular dish, Huevos Divorciados, or, divorce eggs as they call it, this dish was a great surprise to me seeing in San Antonio and Houston they make it totally different. This eggs were made Veracruz style. Delicious indeed. I strongly recommend this place.

I went to this place for lunch and it disappointed big time. I ordered the mole poblano to the dismissive server. They give you plasticware to eat inside! After a suspiciously short wait, my dish was ready. It consisted of some boiled chicken ( wings and the tailbone part, which are the cheapest ) showered carelessly with a mediocre mole and some rice on the side. The place also was not very clean. Forgot to mention that it is not cheap either . Never coming back. Ew!

Today I made an order in store and let tell you my experience. The food was ready and hot when I took it home but my sopecitos de Al pastor had no Al pastor meat. Instead they tried to use their decorating skills and filled it with pineapples and onions. Each and every bite was all sweet but no meat. Utterly disgusting and soggy. On top of that the agua frescas are $5 when in other Mexican restaurants they are $3-3.50 for the same size. When I called to tell them my problem they asked to fix it but nobody has time to walk 10 blocks back and forth in this hot weather … very disappointing.

Tacos Veracruz is my go to Mexican spot since I moved in the area. I go back to this place because their food is consistently great. My order of carnitas tacos is filling and delicious and easily my favorite, but they have a wide variety of other dishes that use handmade tortillas too and make them personable to the restaurant.

I’ve ordered delivery twice. Got the large guacamole and chips and the portion was great! Also got the quesadilla with steak, which had a great steak to cheese ratio and really tasty cheese inside. Also the side salsas are great! I would say the orange is spicier than the green, but both have a great flavor.

Sabor a Veracruz it’s the best Mexican restaurant on Hudson county area, food it’s delicious and always fresh, reasonable prices also fast and free delivery when you call the restaurant, amazing staff and owners also if you coming with friends that are not too familiar with Mexican food don’t worry their menu offers lots of choices like burgers, pasta, hot and cold sandwiches you name it…. my favorite choices are the steak tacos and Sopecitos!! You won’t be disappointed!!!
