My mother and I frequented this place when it was in Hachie. I had actually forgot they moved. So today I was anticipating going to another well know establishment next to Costco after shopping. Well I am glad they had a power outage. On the way home I remembered this place was here and it did not disappoint. Actually probably the best place in Red Oak and I have lived here 13 years so I have ate at them all many a times. Sorry about the picture but I tore up the Chicken, Sausage and other plate of ribs. My wife is usually very critical of my food selections at times but she even admitted this place was fantastic. She got the sliced beef sandwich, again, there was nothing left to photograph.

Today I attended an event were R.L. Harris was serving. I was told the meat selection given so I ordered chicken breast sandwich assuming it would be chopped up like everything else served tonight. The chicken wasn’t chopped and wasn’t good to my taste. I told the owner very nicely that I did not like it and would prefer chopped beef. I was told to wait as 5 other customers went in front of me. I than asked when could I get mine? I was told rudely ” I usually don’t do that I can’t make money giving away free stuff you should’ve known what you was getting”. I didn’t say anything but the customers in front of me left. As Black people we have to do better and learn communication skills if we want people to support our business. Remember Mr. Harris word of mouth is how you grow a business watch how you handle people.

Stoped into this little BBQ joint after work. Have been wanting to stop for a wile to try it out. The tea was refreshing and fresh. Just right for a long day. The ribs were perfection I would put them up against any of the award winners I have eaten. The brisket was excellent as well with great smoke flavor, solid bark, moist and flakey. No sause needed for this bbq done the Texas smoked way. If you are ever near I highly recommend this no frills strait Texas bbq best. Thanks again for putting out such great product you gentlemen do it right.

Yes I eat a lot of BBQ. Finally stopped in at this place, tried the chopped beef BBQ. It wasn’t the best I every had but it was good. I’m a moist type person and it did not disappoint. Stop in an give this place a try. Friendly folks, Fast service. Easy access, on the service road of I35 in Red Oak.

Brisket moist 4 stars, ribs 3 stars both have a lighter fluid back taste, very pricy as they up charge the ribs and brisket if you get a meat mix plate, 2 stars because I was charged 1.50 for solo cup as my Togo cup Solo cups should be complementary if u don’t have Togo cups with lids paid $20 for a 2 meat rib n brisket 2 side and drink not worth it

I ordered pulled pork sandwich. It had very little fat which I was glad about. It was good. The gentleman who took my order was friendly. I got regular sauce, a bit too sweet so I’ll ask for half&half next time. This was my 2nd time there and when I get the taste for BBQ again I will return. 4 1/2 stars.
