This is definitely one of the top restaurants in Ludlow.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was superb! Abby was extremely welcoming and obviously very passionate about their menu. We really loved the homey feel of the restaurant. We started with a dozen oysters ($40), which was also the highlight of the meal. Accompanied with a lot of gifts from the chef, such as a risotto ball and fresh made hummus and pita, we left stuffed after our entree of jumbo shrimp. We didn’t know about the changing seasonal menu but the food was still delicious. A definite must try in Ludlow!

This was truly an unforgettable meal. The food was very high-end but not pretentious; the service was very welcoming. I would go out of my way to dine here again.

Be sure to make a reservation! Visited on a Friday night with a party of 4- we made our reservation about a week in advance and got one of the last tables at 6:00. Had “the Dude” cocktail which was delicious and unique. I had the burger – very good! The wait staff was the best part of the experience. Highly knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Definitely check them out if you can!

Like their web site says, “Casual Fine Dining”. Emphasis on Fine. Went on a Monday, buck a shuck Wellfleet oysters, fabulous! Also very good $5 rose’ wine. Tried the specialty cocktail, The Rosebud. Very good! The halibut was spectacular as well as the rib eye poivre. All food is cooked to order so it takes longer BUT is well worth the wait. If you want a quick meal with fast service go to Longhorn or Outback. If you want an authentic home cooked meal go to The Downtown Grocery.

I visited on a Friday night with my wife, brother, & sister and we had a great meal. Cocktails are unique and fresh. We only had entrees, but all were delicious (chicken, burger, special country fried deckle steak, & special lobster sauce halibut). Service was knowledgeable and friendly. White tablecloth, yet casual vibes. Overall great experience.

Oh my squash! Delightful, amazing intuition, food beyond great! Neat couple and place. One of the best special meals we have ever had in a niche place. It was that good! And so reasonably priced. The peach bourbon cocktail…a m a z i n g! I would go back 10 times over.

I really wanted to like this place after all the hype and waiting a week for a reservation. I’m sorry to say the wait was not worth it. I should have taken it as a sign when their website doesn’t work to look at the menu, and felt blind sided when we saw a pasta entree for $50 and soup for $20 when we walked in. I could get over the prices if the wait wasn’t so long … I understand their concept that it’s just a husband and wife running the whole place… but maybe a bartender or one more person in the kitchen could help. You definitely can feel the passion about the menu coming from them both. However, it was An hour til we saw a beverage, 2 hours til they sent out some bread. I overheard another girl at a table who was falling asleep ask the server, who’s also the owner, who’s also the bartender, how long she thought desert would take because she was quite frankly “tired” – and I don’t blame her since they were there long before us, because otherwise she wouldn’t order it. It says on Resy “be prepared to be with us 2 hours “ they should correct that to 3 hours and put a sample menu somewhere. My salmon was cold when it finally arrived and I’m sorry but no home made pasta is worth $50 in vermont. Skip it- there’s better options in Ludlow.
