I have been a very frequent customer of Charquitas on Prince for over a year. I typically eat their at least once per week. When they first opened, I wrote a glowing review based on their excellent food and their cleanliness. What a disappointment it has become. Sadly, someone has gotten lazy….or there is new management who just does NOT have the same high level standards.

Excellent food, and they go out of their way to try to make sure that everything is perfect. I’ve gone there about a dozen times and have left impressed each time. It’s difficult to comment on the atmosphere since I go through the drive-thru.

Wow! HUGE portions, super tasty! Even the rice had excellent flavor. Carne Asada meat was seasoned perfectly, tender, not chewy or fatty. I had the carne asada tots, whoa, where are the tots, in a good way, of course. So much meat, cheese and deliciousness. Believe it or not, the tots were still crispy even after the blanket of goodness smothered on top, steaming away in a styrofoam container. That is amazing! My first food experience in Tuscon, wow, my tastebuds are ready….bring it Tuscon!

Put guacamole on my plate when I specifically said no guacamole!! I noticed when I drove home ( I live a good 20 minutes away)I’m allergic I tried to scoop it out but it was literally on everything so I had to throw it away. Called the store to tell them, and the guy said come and he’ll replace it and I said I live too far maybe tomorrow. Does this guy not say to me “ keep the order or else you’re not getting another “ Dude you messed up the order don’t act like you’re doing me a favour by replacing the food. This food is In no condition to be served again especially not the next day! Watch out guys.

Very great place! Open in drive thru and lobby 24 hours. Chile relleno is the best in town. I’ve tried it just about every where I’ve eaten and here it’s outstanding. I go here all the time no matter what time, the people are so nice and it’s worth the extra fee min it takes because it’s the BEST. I LOVE IT!

I wasn’t ordering, I was actually dashing and picking up an order, it was quite late/early. Like 3 am type early, but they only had 2 staff running drive thru front counter and cooking the food. The drive thru line got ridiculously long, it took awhile before the staff member was even able to step aside to come up front to help me out. But other than that the store was clean, staff was friendly working hard doing what they could, sadly I haven’t had the chance to taste their food but I’m sure that’d be just as great (:

It always takes a long time to get your order. I ordered online, it took me 30 minutes to arrive and I still had to wait 20 minutes in the drive thru. It’s always like this, if you don’t mind the long long wait, the food is pretty good and the servings are large! Open 24 hours!

I just love their Carne Asada burrito and tacos. Very generous portions, friendly service, fair prices.and a very clean restaurant. My husband and I go there often. I just wish they used a different recipe for their guacamole.
