Had an amazing lunch today. The owner explained what each dish was and how to properly eat it. I have never had African food before and definitely recommend it!

We had a wonderful lunch today, featuring the taste of Africa. All the dishes were delicious and the owner took the time to describe what each item was and where it originated. We really enjoyed the Moroccan soup and samosas. It was definitely one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had in years and can’t wait to come back.

I spent 2 years in Tanzania, and this restaurant is a gem. 100% authentic and delicious. It is a quaint, unassuming restaurant with fantastic food and friendly/welcoming environment and staff. Eating here took me back to Tanzania and was delightful. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves East African food or is interested in trying something new and authentic.

This place is amazing!! Some of the best Swahili food I’ve had. Their chai tea is amazing too, and the sambusa is to die for, I could eat so many of them. I got goat curry biryani and the meat basically melted off the bone, it was cooked perfectly!! Not to mention, the woman working there is so friendly and kind! Definitely coming back and recommending to friends. Go here if you want authenticity.

Delicious food at a cozy place. I love their sukuma. I ordered goar biryani, and the taste was great but had had tiny bone fragments, which could be dangerous. I laso enjoyed their tamarind juice. They do have great customer service. The place could use some uplifting, especially outside.

First time trying this place and it did not disappoint. Their dishes are packed with flavor and with genegerous portions, some of the dishes are definitely shareable. Staff is very friendly and although seating is a bit tight they were able to accomodate our group of 12+. Highly recommend the zanzibar special if you like goat meat (p.s- no meaty smell). I can’t wait to go back.

Everything was perfect! The staff is so kind and welcoming, and the food is delicious. We ordered the goat curry chapati with beans and the chicken curry ugali with greens, and four sambusas, and we loved everything. All delicious and flavorful and the portions were plentiful. Plus you have to order a ginger juice!! We met Riziki herself and told her about our experience with Tanzanian cuisine (my fiancé’s mom is the child of missionaries to Tanzania and she makes Tanzanian dishes often) and she kindly offered us complimentary sambusas to take home 🙂 We will 100% go back.

Food was amazing.. chapati was nice and buttery. Only concern was the portion size was SO small for $17.00 a plate. Unless my grubhub driver ate my food they need to be slapped for this serving size. Lol but I won’t lie it is so yummy
