Wonderful experience!! We drove down from Indy on a Saturday just for the tenderloin that we had read a raving review about. We got there at 2pm and were told it was Brunch until 2:30pm and the tenderloins weren’t in the Brunch menu. They start serving them at 4:30pm. But… Mandy was terrific!! She went back and asked her staff if we could get the tenderloins now, at 2pm. Brenden, who made our food, was awesome and hooked us up!! He personally delivered our plates to our table and came out later to see how they were. They did NOT disappoint! 1 lb each, perfect seasoning, and amazingly juicy. Maggie was our server and was amazing as well!! Absolutely made our day great with this experience!! Go check them out!! We’ve already made plans to head back down!!

I have 2 words for this place: delicious & affordable. The food was seasoned nicely and both the steaks and the salmon were very tender and juicy. The dessert tasted as delicious as the picture looks. If you’re in the area make sure you stop in.

Just off the beaten path, you’ll find this southern style cooking restaurant. With a variety of southern flare foods on the menu. I had hoped to find a Poboy or Jumbalaya, but instead found some southern fried catfish that my dad loved, fried greens for my husband and shrimp tacos for myself. I also indulged with the Midwest Mule, which was to die for! So refreshing! My tacos were missing… something, but everything else was perfect and delicious! Our waitress was wonderful, I only wish we had been given the opportunity to sit outside on the patio. It was pretty chilly inside the dining room. But otherwise, it was a fantastic experience and I’d recommend trying it out! If only to try that Midwest Mule! 😉

This place is just ok. First, the positives. It’s nice inside. The wait staff are nice and friendly. They have a good drink selection. And the menu has lots of variety to it. The chicken/sausage eggroll (app) was the best thing we ate… a bit pricey for what you get, but yummy. The chicken fried steak was .

The mac with crab cake was good, but not great. It was supposed to be Cavatappi and it was penne. The sauce was a little thin. The Pulled Pork sandwich was delicious. The corned beef and cabbage (special) was great.

The hospitality was good. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The tomato flavor was too strong. The grits were cooked well but lacked seasoning. Also, the dish had way too many peppers, and onions. They weren’t seasoned either. The portion size was great but this dish wasn’t good. Nothing was seasoned. For the cost of the meal, I would try something else on the menu.

Awesome modern take on southern classics. They make a Last Word cocktail but with mezcal instead of gin. Their pimento cheese starter is excellent with fried naan and jalapeno in the dip. I ordered the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and the side Cesar salad has an excellent dressing. The garlic mashed potatoes are a little too garlicky. My wife ordered the crab cakes which were fine but the least favorite of everything we ordered. We’ll have to come back for dessert some time as the list looked amazing but we were too full. Lastly, not sure if they were down a server but it took awhile to get served. Our server was amazing though and gave great suggestions.
