We had a lovely brunch at Roots! We ended up coming in late but they still made us delicious food from the brunch menu. Service was average, it took awhile for us to cash out and our waitress took the payment reader before we could give a review on it, but it’s a newer spot so I understand. The chicken and waffles was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

A newly opened restaurant. Very easy to get a table right now but we placed a reservation just in case. I ordered one of their cocktails. Honestly, it was way too heavy on the alcohol (not usually a bad thing but the flavor was just too strong) and way too heavy on the glitter. When I got to the bottom, it was mostly edible glitter! Will have to try a different one next time. As far as food goes, my friend ordered the mussels. However, either the waitress or the kitchen didn’t realize that she wanted it as her entree so it came out before the food for me and my daughter. She politely waited to eat with us. It wasn’t too long of a wait but would have been smoother if they all came out at the same time. She said that the muscles were very good. I had the Chimichurri Steak which was delicious. The portion of cauliflower puree (amazing!) And the asparagus could have been a little bigger.

Incredible food. We tried the Bombay Bhel, Gnocchi, and Beef Chimichurri, then got chocolate cheesecake and vermicelli/ice cream (osh el bulbul kulfi) for dessert. Every dish was beautifully plated, of an appropriate size, and delicious. The sauces and spices accentuated the individual ingredients, so the dishes didn’t rely on sauce for flavor – every ingredient and the sauces/spices worked together to make for some unique, delicious dishes. The chef is clearly very talented and has excellent range.

Not ready for prime time yet. I realize this was day two of being open, but things were pretty rough.

Our server Shyla took SUCH good care of us!! We came for happy hour hour and I was delighted at the selection of non-alcoholic drinks (got the kombucha) and great vegan options! The lotus puffs were delicious. They also have a neat venue upstairs. We’ll definitely be back!

We had great brunch there! We had 2 wonderful dishes. A herb inlet with wonderful toast and the most delicious potatoes! I had a wonderful tomato egg dish again with the best potatoes I have ever had! I ordered a side of wonderful multi grain toast to soak up the wonderful juices/ flavors. The coffee is expensive but very very got and plentiful. The service was very good, our server was on top of everything!! Very comfy seating and setting!!

Everything about this restaurant was amazing! We came in on a random afternoon and had some of the best food we’ve had in Colorado lately! The Diablo sliders were so good, and the Cauliflower Fritters were perfect for my vegetarian preferences. On top of the food being delicious, the staff was extremely friendly and got everything out to us very quickly. 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to come back in or order out soon.

We came to Roots to test out the new Brunch option in Longmont, within the historic Dickens Opera House building. As we had loved 300 Dickens Prime (for their brunch) we had high hopes of a new great brunch restaurant opening in Longmont. Unfortunately we weren’t impressed and probably won’t return.

This was a $20 entree. After 2 appetizers and an entree each, my boyfriend and I left still so hungry. The small margaritas were $15. Everything was so over priced for what we received. Definitely not worth the $125 bill we had. We were happy to try this new restaurant but left super disappointed.

I saw the negative reviews before going, but most seemed to be about poor service or small portions, neither of which I care much about. I loved the look of the menu, so my husband & I decided to give it a chance for date night.
