I dined out at this ramen place several times already and i’m very impressed with the food. The tonkotsu ramen is very good, but extremely salty. I also had the vegetarian ramen, the curry sauce didn’t taste that good or a curry flavor. The shiitake mushroom was extremely sweet for some reason. I love the karaage fried chicken with the spicy mayo dip. The portion size is a good size for take out. Other than being extremely salty and needing to drink a whole 2 bottle of water after my meal, it’s very good food.

I love the shopping center it is located in. The grounds are beautiful, and the courtyard is comfortable and safe. The food is very expensive and bland. The ordering kiosk is confusing, and the food is slow to come out. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is very pleasant. More non Ramin options would be good. I am a fan of Ramin, but my lunch companion was not.

Always exciting when a new food option opens in the neighborhood, so I was really excited to try Akira Ramen. The atmosphere is simple yet cozy. Not a lot of space, so if you want to eat in I recommend arriving early since its relatively new. Once inside you order at a kiosk which is very unique. The have a variety of appetizers, sushi and ramen.

Went in today to try the place, I’ve been meaning to try it since they first opened but never found the time to. The restaurant was clean but they weren’t very busy .. not too many options to choose from and the food is a little on the pricey side. I would have loved to try this restaurant but almost all of their entree options had pork included in it(even in broth) and me not being a pork eater, I was a little hesitant to even order the ONE beef option they had. Sad to say I ended up walking out and not getting anything. To add to this the whole order kiosk ordeal kinda sucks because you’re ordering from a tablet. I’m the type of person who likes to engage and ask the staff for recommendations on what’s good (even though I didn’t even get anything from there because of all the pork options)

I’ve been looking for a new sushi restaurant in Owings Mills. So far I’ve been here twice, and they have the best sushi I had in a while from freshness, presentation and quantity. I like that they offer a variety of cooked sushi combinations. It does get busy certain hours (lunch and dinner), but it was worth the trip. Lastly, the staff was very helpful, and nicely explained the sushi ingredients to a novice sushi lover! I would recommend.

Food was very good, very traditional ramen. The experience was unique, order at a screen, get your ramen brought to you, and they clean up after you. No fountain drinks, only canned soda and teas. There is a water dispenser, that is not a very far walk like another reviewer said. The ramen was very full and rich in flavor. The Karage Chicken was also very good. This is not instant ramen either, so don’t expect instant ramen prices. Prices are very fair (for 2023).

This must be what fast food sushi is all about. Nigri has decent fish but barely any rice, sashimi was small pieces, ginger was woody and old. Service was non existent and a simple order of 2 selections did take way too long. Would not have give a tip if the place didn’t force you to prepay. If you want good sushi, find a other place.

I want to open with the fact that I go to the Akira in Columbia by the mall once a week, so I had what thought of as reasonable expectations walking into Akira Owings Mills. They were NOT met.

Inferior in quality of food and overall experience to the one in Columbia. The food was ok but it was more on the room temp side and the ingredients didn’t feel as high quality as we were expecting. Also the set up for ordering and dining in felt very awkward and janky.
