Every rave review I read here was true. This place is awesome. The meat is delicious, the sides just right. I was given a sample of brisket when I was ordering, and I swooned – it was that good. Melt in your mouth. Very friendly place, too.

Amazing! That definitely needs to be the first word of this review. I started smoking my own BBQ because every place I went to was disappointing. This place was not. It was everything I hoped and dreamed for when stopping at a BBQ place. We tried the pulled pork, BBQ brisket, house sausage, Cole slaw, Mac and cheese, and beans. Everything was great. It all came dry with sauces on the side, which is a good sign. The pork was moist smoky, and had good bark. I’m not usually a brisket fan, but this one had a nice smoke ring and was very tender. Sausage was good too, if that’s your thing. My daughter loved the Mac and the slaw was a good accompaniment. Holy cow though, the beans almost stole the show! There were tons of bits of what looked like brisket in the beans so they had a great smoky flavor and weren’t too sweet. You can tell they must start with dried beans because they had a firmer, not mushy texture. The place has awards hanging up in the modest dining area. The only disappointment was that you had to give 24hr pre order for ribs. We are already talking of planning our next road trip around stopping here again and putting an order in for the ribs. Please don’t hesitate to eat here for outstanding BBQ!

First tried this restaurant yesterday for my birthday dinner. Had ribs and brisket with potato salad, beans, coleslaw. Superb! Rare compliment for restaurant food lately! Thank you, guys!

Ever since Indiana Smokehouse closed for good, I had been trying to find another good BBQ joint in the area. I’ve been told I should try Big JT’s and recently I was finally able to do so. Unfortunately, we came at a pretty bad time (A Saturday at roughly 1 PM only an hour before they closed) and as a result, they were out of at least half their menu. Thankfully they had a few things that I like so I went with it anyway.

Great, no frills place. You leave smelling like the smoke from the roaster just outside, that’s just part of it. The guys (owners) could NOT be nicer. They are so accommodating. Super offering for parties, but go have lunch there, too.

Brisket melts in your mouth and pulled pork is just as tasty! Sides are delicious as well… Cannot beat the prices compared to even fast food these days. Also very friendly guys! Don’t pass it up!!

I had seen this place on Google and Yelp a few times and for some reason I hadn’t got around to eating here. Boy, have I been missing out!

Food was great, I felt guilty about how little they charged considering most BBQ prices. Service was awesome you can’t beat it.

I went here for lunch twice on two different trips to Columbus. The first time I got the brisket sandwich and the next time got the pulled pork sandwich. Both had great flavor. The brisket was a little dry, but I’d try it again to see if that was a fluke. Pulled pork was good.
