Great small town hospitality (friendly service, fast coffee refills) and gigantic, fluffy pancakes. Liked that they gave me a steak knife for the smoky ham. Food is not fancy but it’s certainly well-done diner breakfast/comfort food.

Sandy’s was a very cute, home cooking restaurant– Food was pretty good (highly recommend the Geno omlette) and Sandy was so sweet! Took a little while to be sat/order our food, but only because it was so busy. Would come back if we were to visit International Falls again!

While the idea of cinnamon roll French toast had never occurred to me until I visited Sandy’s, I’m now disappointed that I’ve never found another place that serves it. So delicious. This place is so cute, the food is great and I love that Sandy actually works there and makes all the pies, which taste just like I remember my Michigander grandma made them. (It’s just one state over). Excellent place to go after burning all those calories canoeing around Voyageurs or just because it’s delicious.

Every time we visit, we enjoy the quality home made food and great service! This is our most favorite local owned and operated diner in the area. We sometimes stop just for the amazing homemade pie. We love a good breakfast out and they never disappoint. One thing unique about Sandy’s place is you can order a meal that is just the right size for you and they adjust the price, so you don’t feel too stuffed or wasteful… or just supersize it for some great left overs! Tip- It is usually hopping during peak meal times, be prepared to wait, but trust they will serve the food fast and hot every time.

What a wonderful little spot. It is small..but just cozy close..I went in for a quick breakfast before heading back to Oklahoma City and ran into locals that I truly was hoping to bump into. My waitress..she was so wonderful. Her customer service was amazing. I just enjoyed her so much. She was my age or so..short brown hair..great smile.. I snuck in the day before for a walleye sandwich..brought my son back in the next day for a diner burger for breakfast..no judging..we were on vacation.

This is a 20 Star stop! You are welcomed with such compassion, all your troubles are gone! Had the Patty Melt with fries and my meal was hot to begin and my last bite was still warm! Cali is such an amazing young lady and made my visit so nice. Homemade meal made in heaven! Thank you so much – can’t wait to come by again!

You can not go wrong with Sandy’s Place no matter what you order. Home cooked dinners daily and some of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The friendliest staff around. Owners are very involved and super friendly as well. My kids even love going to Sandy’s. They get to pick a toy out of the bin and are always made to feel special. Feels like going back home for a good meal and friendly faces. The only negative is that they close early. Inconvient when I’m craving a good meal.
