I know this is the only Chinese restaurant in Mercersburg,but honestly it was horrible. Upon entering the male water was hacking and coughing all through the kitchen and serving tables. Obviously very sick and not covering his mouth. Gross. The food was terrible. I had ordered the General Tso’s chicken, egg drop soup, and crab Rangoon. The chicken though fried was incredibly soggy and flavorless. The grey egg drop soup lacked everything. The Crab Rangoon only filled with cream cheese and soggy

My family and I eat here occasionally because it is the only local Chinese restaurant. I can’t tell you why we go back, but no longer. Aside from their wait times being horrendous, the food is not very good. They constantly get my order wrong. Some of the staff have poor attitudes. I just can’t say I have ever had a good experience unfortunately.

I’ve eaten here since I was a kid, but never reviewed since I felt it was known that the food was good. Looks like they’ve gotten an undeserved string of bad reviews recently so I tried eating here again last night to see if something had changed. The food was hot and fresh. The service was quick, with very fair prices. Things are just as they’ve always been. Eggroll King is a staple of Mercersburg and has been for years. After living in various other cities we are lucky to have such a quality restaurant still thriving in our small town. 10/10 would recommend.

Sometimes the food is ok. Sometimes it’s not good. The fried rice is my least favorite of any i’ve ever had. I’ve never been to a chinese restaurant that made fried rice the way this restaurant does. I’ve eaten here for a few years and there has been a noticeable decline in the Quality.

The atmosphere is almost hostile. Screaming in kitchen. Lady on phone taking orders overwhelmed, while yelling at Boy, who was behind counter sooooo confused. Kept pulling on his chin skin looking lost. Order took a long time. Kept asking for numbers from us. I asked what numbers were we suppose to be looking for on receipt. 5 different people waiting. All of us looking at each other, what number, where is number. I asked, she never explained, walked away. Folks this is a night mare. Food was ok, far from great. I left with urge to scream at someone after all the rudeness and screaming. I have been there a few times. Done !!! Anyone, who says they have had a good experience. Has lost all appreciation for good service and communication. Horrible atmosphere.

Really nice people! And the food is wonderful! It’s also priced nicely, and you get a good amount of food for later or leftovers! Who doesn’t love leftovers? They have their busy moments, but so does every other restaurant. I’m usually late for everything, and I’ve never had any issues with my food being cold… but they’ve always been on point in my book
