One visit just won’t cut it. So many fresh, delicious options. What a great addition to the area. Variety of homemade heaven is insane. We had the Bada Bing & the Don Teflon grinders this time. Couldn’t resist some of the broccoli rabe & sausage for later. Took home the ravioli, meatballs, brussel sprouts & some cutlets last time. All delicious! Check them out!

This is the first time in legitimately 7 years, where I walk into an Italian Style excited to see what they have to offer. The chicken cutlet sandwich was to die for, and all of the other food looked so fresh and phenomenal. The place is beyond clean, I met the owner Sal who is extremely nice and fun to talk to. The lady who made my sandwich was so nice and talkative. It’s nice to see a place do justice for chicken cutlets, which can easily be messed up if they aren’t breaded properly, and seasoned the correct way. This is a treat for Middletown, guys. This is a top notch place that can compete with the best of them. It’s a New York style deli, but right in the heart of Connecticut. I mean that in the nicest way and it’s a huge compliment. Food is fine, plenty of similarly impressive Italian restaurants in this town. Portion sizes are laughable for the price, at least for the wraps and takeout dishes. Prices on boar’s head meats and cheeses are higher than grocery stores just a few minutes away. My food was really oily and garlic heavy. Service is the main reason for the poor review. They are very kind but the only pace they know is SLOW. Good luck if someone the staff knows walks in because they will stop taking your order to talk with them. Some of the food tastes like it was left on an unrefrigerated counter for a bit (which it was). Also, on two occasions, I witnessed them put too much of something on an order and they will pick it out and put it back in the main containers after contacting other ingredients. This is a little gem in Middletown CT that you will love! Great food, all homemade recipes. There are so many tasty treats my eyes were all over the place! Sal gave me samples to try and everything was spectacular! This place does whole trays of food for gatherings or just a little snack if you are hungry! It’s a little bit of Italy right here in CT. Go check this place out! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Authentic and top notch!! Everything here is amazing. Taste is phenomenal and portion sizes are massive. We’ve gotten pizzas, calzones, garlic knots, wraps and sandwiches. Everything has impressed us!! Highly recommend the Al Capone calzone. Love that there are real imported Italian treats (sparkling beverages, biscottis, cheeses, Italian cookies) in coolers and on pantry shelves for purchase! Makes the place feel like you’re stepping into Little Italy. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

My wife and I have not found one thing we didn’t like. Avella’s has undoubtedly the best Broccoli Rabe I have had anywhere. My wife loves the Eggplant Parm. Scacciata was excellent. Haven’t tried the pizza yet, but you can’t beat the place. Hope thet stay forever.

We love Italian and this was right next door to our AirBNB. Immediately upon walking in we were met with a beautiful display of Italian food. We left with more than we intended to get. Great olive selection. We ordered a pizza and it was fantastic. Much larger than we expected so we’ll have leftovers for sure.
