I have been coming here for 2 – 3 late afternoons for an early dinner during my work week in Somerville for years. The food is great, and the young people that work there are so friendly and warm. Very friendly staff and food came out very quickly. Bright, clean place. I had a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The bagel was very low quality and undersized, disappointing. Coffee was decent.

The selections were plentiful, we didn’t have a long wait, the restaurant was clean, the staff was patient and friendly. The television didn’t seem to be HD so we ate outside where our food was served to us quickly. A different salad dressing was asked for and it was there in less than a minute. Eating outside on Somerville’s Main Street was pretty cool, especially with the corner location. We are definitely going back to try the strawberry shortcake pudding I seen on the menu when I was leaving.

Chicken sandwich was scrumptious, and the restaurant was exceptionally clean. Friendly staff. Prices were a tad bit on the high side. My cup of chicken noodle soup was barely half full. Would like to see regular waffle fries in addition to sweet potato. This could easily be five stars.

You can walk-in, order and wait for over 20+ minutes for your food. Given the continuing increases in their food prices, one would expect better and more timely service quality. But unfortunately that is not the case here. Are Mike’s best days behind it? Based on my experience – I think so.

I ordered a house salad with shrimp last Thursday which was a religious holiday for me – so no meat. I opened it and there was a great amount of bacon on it so I could not eat it – a complete waste of food and money. Their menu states it’s only supposed to contain veggies. I will not order from them again.
