Met owners Terry and Roberta and some of their friends. Treated me like family. Food was delicious. Had the special. Was offered some pork skins: perfect, still popping. Try to get the apple crumble on Sunday! Thanksgiving dinner is once a week ❤️ just a hop from I-70, it’s a welcome break from road weariness, so peaceful with its authentic country setting. Thank you Terry for the sightseeing tips too! Thank you R and T for the amazing welcome. Blessed to have stopped here.

The owner greeted us when we came in and was very helpful with a member in our party who needed to shift from a walker into a chair at the table. He answered our questions about menu items and a friendly local offered recommendations as well. The pork sandwich was delicious, the atmosphere was friendly and everything was clean and fresh. It was great place to take a lunch break while on a road trip.

Good home cooking! Roberta and Terry offer generous portions, customizable offerings, daily specials along with menu staples. Tons of heart go into their food and customer service. We ordered burgers, fish, a variety of fried sides like pickles, cauliflower, onion rings, and cowboy bites. The BEST homemade ranch we’ve had in ages was served with them. We had mowed through most of them before we got the picture taken. The portions are quite generous.

We got French toast and biscuits and gravy and they were absolutely delicious!! The people were great, and our server had some great suggestions as for places to stop by. I mentioned that I had never tried pork rinds so he made us a couple to try and they were delicious. If I’m ever near here again I’ll definitely stop by.

We stopped there based on reviews and were not disappointed. We got their special of the day and while it had a no frills presentation it tasted great and was a great price. A gentleman whom I assume was the owner came out to talk to us and was super friendly. Asked where we were going, offered suggestions of attractions in the area, and just generally made us feel very welcome. A special call out, their pork rinds are fried fresh and served still crackling. Comparing it to gas station pork rinds is like comparing fresh baked chocolate chip cookies to generic store brand chips a hoy knockoffs. I’ve never even cared for pork rinds and thought they were great. Don’t be discouraged by the exterior, inside is small but well maintained and it is a great place to eat. If I’m in the area again I plan to go back.
