So, I’ll start out by saying I understand it’s restaurant week in Norfolk, so I can anticipate there’s going to be cheaper quality of food. However, I can sadly say I was extremely disappointed in Todd Jurich’s special they had.

The lamb and filet were perfectly done, though note that they err on the side of rare rather than well done. She crab soup was decent, and Caesar salad was tasty. Had creme brule for dessert and hit the spot. Atmosphere came off as upscale without the fussiness. Would definitely go again for a special occasion.

Went here for restaurant week. Service was exceptional and the restaurant itself is beautiful. The food was mostly good and they have a great wine selection. The ambiance was nice and relaxed. Overall enjoyed the experience and glad we choose to try it out for our date night.

Fantastic place for a dinner date night. The entire meal was phenomenal and the fellow serving us was impeccable. I suggest the pork chop and the duck, and the Main Street Martini. Bread basket is out of this world good. You will not be disappointed!

Well, first of all, I loved the consideration of my date’s sensitivity to gluten. The chef was able to make everything gluten free and the food was incredible! The crab cakes my date had were the best part of the meal. The waitress was very kind, nice, and didn’t bother us over and over. It was inconvenient that the two wines ordered were not in stock, but the wine given was good and I liked the taste. The place was very clean and the environment was calming, quiet, and cozy. It did not feel crowded or congested, even with a large group near us. The atmosphere was welcoming and we really enjoyed ourselves. The location is right near a parking garage and downtown so it is convenient to get to. Now, the dessert was delicious. We shared a dark chocolate cake. I am a simple man so that was all I needed and she really enjoyed it. There was a lot on the menu I wanted to try, so maybe we will be back soon.

My family enjoys a fine dining experience at least once a week and this was the absolute best meal we’ve had in years!!! The ambiance is soothing and relaxing, the staff friendly and courteous, but there are not words adequate enough to describe the meal and overall dining experience. Our entrees were prepared as requested to perfection. We enjoyed the filet (medium rare and well) and crab cakes along with our bottle of dinner wine and Prosecco accompanying dessert. I live in Orlando and would gladly travel to Virginia once a month to enjoy a meal at Todd Jurich’s Bistro

So disappointed….The cup of crab soup had hair in it so I sent it back. Didn’t make a big deal out of it thinking maybe it fell from the beard of the waiter. Then my meal came out , red snapper and lump crab on top. I immediately smelled it because there was an unpleasant scent. I thought it was me so I, unfortunately, tasted it. It was a spoiled fish. What made it worst is we told the waiter who bought it and he said. Oh I can smell it now. I understand hair may fall and it’s not pleasant for a customer but serving spoiled fish. The manager acknowledged it and it was appreciated but just be careful when dining here.

My husband and I visited during Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week. Good job on the social distancing. Fabulous food! My husband loved the Roasted Margaret Duck and my Cedar Plank Scottish Salmon was delicious. Service was great! The host was very personable and helpful. Will visit again.
