Update: returned recently and spent a long weekend in Victor. Enjoyed the atmosphere and conversation with the locals, staff and international artists visiting. I adjusted my rating to five stars. This place is consistent, the food and drinks are great and priced right. I’ll definitely visit every trip! 🙂 had a blast!

Victor isn’t a big place but these Onion Rings and Jalapeño Poppers were simply amazing.. yummy like Gold. 1899 mining claim and saloon has a lovely and cool bar feeling, very friendly service and people are coming in. Good prices too. I recommend this place and will also come back for a visit!

Absolutely perfect. If you are looking for authentic mining town atmosphere, delicious food and wonderful people, this is your place. If you are staying at the incredible Black Monarch hotel, it just a short walk up the street. Give them a try!

Food was not too great. Server didn’t give me a check but gave me an amount. Gave her a card and she gave herself a 20% tip because there were two adults and five kids. Everytime I asked her a question her answer was we are a small bar. She never refilled anything or asked us anything. Her tip should have been 5%. They charge you extra for about everything. I feel sorry for the people who say they have the best burgers anywhere. Must not have traveled much.

Every time I go off-roading I start in COS and finish in Victor, and I always stop here to get a burger and fries. They are absolutely delicious and their green chile is amazing
