The spot is cute well air-conditioned, with nice lighting. We ordered edamame, California roll, Godzilla roll, Rainbow roll, and Spicy Tuna Hand roll. We went on a Tuesday evening and the women in the front who sat us down, took our order and took care of us, was AMAZING. She ran around making sure everyone was taken care of. She killed it at her job. The issue was that the kitchen took really long. We waited 1 hour for our food, and to be honest it wasn‘t worth the wait. The lady who took care of us did warn us about it and we took our chances. They were clearly understaffed but overall it was an average visit. I’m sure I would have rated it a 4 had food been faster.

From the front of the house to the back, Sushi Tokyo stood out in an ocean of sushi spots. The rolls ranged from creative and unique to the traditional. All of them were delicious and fresh. The owner was delightful and watched my boyfriend and I played Sushi Go while dining. His excitement and joy was contagious, and it definitely set the tone for the entire night. 100% will be coming back soon together.

It was a good place to eat, service was good, could have been better with free refills, soda came from a can and an empty cup, place could use a physical menu, the online menu was all over the place, food was great and very filling.

The QR code menu was slow to load and hard to navigate between the sections but the separation into categorized was nice once you got the hang of the menu.

I took my three year old here last night and our server was so sweet with him. She was astonished a toddler could be so well behaved and eat so much sushi, and brought him a free machine desert and Japanese marble soda. Tsui is right around the corner from our house but we will walk a little further to Sushi Tokyo from now on.

The restaurant is expensive, cold, and empty. No customers at 6:30 pm on a Wed evening. Good sushi places locally would be at least half full or even got a lineup. So I think some of the reviews are fake because there’s no customer, never mind a line up. On top of that, salmon nigiri two piece is $8, simple maki rolls are $8-9. Everything is at least $2-3 more than your average sushi restaurants. I don’t know how all the recent reviews state dine in at only $10-20. So fake! You’ll also have to click thru 12+ times to see the full menu on the awful website (QR code). Avoid!

Love to have dinner here after a fresh cut at Derby. The staff is always attentive and friendly and the rolls are always tasty and fresh! I always end up taking some to go because there are too many good options and I fill too quickly! Definitely recommend!

We tried to get takeout and came at the time they said the food would be ready. It wasn’t and they told us it would be another 30 minutes. After that time was up they said it would be another 30 minutes. Unsure why they told us our food was done and then wanted us to wait an hour for it.

This was our second visit. Both times we ran into the same issue: the wait time was looooong. It took almost AN HOUR for us to get our food after ordering, and during that long wait nobody came to check in on us or provide any updates. Spent 2 hours in the restaurant, but only 30 mins was spent eating. Definitely my last visit. The food just isn’t worth it for the experience we had.
