I came here after spending the mornings at the beach. The Sand Bar has an awesome beach vibe concept that overlooks the harbor and all the boats. I came here two days in a row to have lunch and got tacos both days. The Ahi Tuna Tacos and Blackened Fish Tacos, both were so delicious and fresh!! I had the Painkiller which I thought was ok and Margarita that was alright. The food though absolutely amazing tacos! Mike our server was very friendly and provided great service. Definitely check out this place.

The actual sand bar/back patio overlooking the water made for a lovely environment. My server was friendly and accommodating, however the fish tacos were less than gourmet and left much to be desired. If you’re just looking to grab some drinks and enjoy the ambience of a little party spot, this will probably do, however there are definitely better spots for food in the area.

We went having lunch on our first day at the island after the ferry ride and ended up going back every single day of our trip cause we just loved it! The staff is amazing, we made friends with them, they are great at making sure you have everything you need at all times without making it awkward -cause we know it can happen, recommending things on the menu (The Tuna poke bowl and the blackened Mahi-mahi fish tacos are unbelievable) the music was great and just overall the ambience of the restaurant is great. We always sat outside, so wouldn’t be able to say anything about inside restaurant area, but would assume it is still great.

Wondered into Sand Bar in Oaks Bluff for an early dinner which was awesome and stayed the evening for the Celtics playoff game. The ownership and crew are crazy freindly and make you feel extremely welcome. Matt, Will, and Jordan made our visit and night a true winner!! Great place with great atmosphere. Continued success guys…….this will be our spot for all future visits!

honestly, i’m not one to ever complain or leave a bad review, i run and own a small business of my own and understand it can be hard. However, when we arrived we were excited to try this new (to us) restaurant, the food came and it was mediocre, nothing crazy. My friend had ordered a burger, she got it and ate a small amount of it and it seemed fine , however the restaurant was dark and when she started to get more toward the middle of the burger , it tasted funny so she looked at it more clearly in the light, the burger was almost completely RAW in the middle , i understand a pink burger, but this was ridiculous , we showed our waitress and she agreed it was very pink in the middle, she offered to throw the ORIGINAL burger (bites taken out and all) back on the grill…. first of all GROSS. second of all absolutely not. she then asked if she wanted the burger remade. No, the rest of our group was practically done eating, as well as obviously her appetite had been ruined after this, the waitress then walked away and didn’t say anything else about it. We asked to speak with the manager because we didn’t think it was fair to pay for a meal she couldn’t enjoy/ nor finish. We were met with a rude manager who only offered to take off the drinks which might i add….. were water. geee thanks!! after overly explaining to her our frustration we FINALLY got only a DISCOUNT of the burger. Absolutely unfortunate. no sorrys either. cannot say i will ever return.

The Sand Bar is unique. In the back (closest to the water) it’s a big party. You will find loud music on the beach, people enjoying the food and probably drink or two. Inside it’s like any old pub. I couldn’t hear the music from the front at all. The drinks here are great, I’m sad I didn’t take a picture for you. I got the jalapeño margarita. Im giving this place a 3 instead of a 5 because the food seemed like it was under a lamp a little long when we got it. My hot buttered lobster was pretty dry, and my wife’s fish tacos weren’t hot. She also ordered blackened mahi mahi tacos, but she was given grilled tacos. If those were somehow blackened I would like to talk to the cook about proper amounts of seasoning . Overall our food and experience was mediocre, for a place that is pretty expensive. I guess that’s what you get on a tourist island.

Love this place and go every season and went again today Aug 2023. Fabulous Baja fish tacos you have to try. Right on the harbour front with sand literally in your toes. Inside there’s a Ms Pac-Man arcade game. Outdoor and indoor bar plus a tiki bar.

RACIST BAR!! i’ve never experienced RACISM like this before! my Black friends and I WERE NOT SERVED DRINKS. we went to the bar and every bartender ignored us, no matter if we waved or tried to get their attention. Or they said they weren’t bartenders (so why were they behind the bar making drinks for other people?). We tried to no avail for a few minutes before giving up.
