It’s hard to find Detroit style pizza near Hanover, so when I saw this little gem in York I had to try it! I saw lots of positive reviews, and I’m going to have to follow right along with them. Everyone working there was very nice, and busy. For as busy as they were, they took care of you quickly. The mixed drink came out super quick. Food came out fast, fresh, and hot. It was very delicious. You also can’t beat the prices! I had some leftovers and brought it home and my son also agreed the pizza and fries were amazing. The best Detroit pizza he’s ever had and wants me to bring him there to get some more. We will definitely be back!

My company ordered pizza from here for a staff meeting, and it was amazing. Ever since then I had been wanting to try some food from them again. I decided to order the pickle fries, cheesy bread, and Detroit style pizza absolutely amazing!! I will definitely be back. The atmosphere seems amazing, the drinks I’ve seen on their Instagram page look wonderful. Also the service is high quality!

Love this place! The pizza is amazing as well as the fried pickles! The drinks are delicious, all the way down to the cocktail touches. The service here was amazing. Percy was the best! Definately a spot to hit on the regular or if your just coming through town.

I first had the pleasure of dining at Archetype Pizza when my daughter treated me! She had been telling me about it and, after we ate, I said to her, this might be the best pizza I have ever eaten! It gets better! I find out my friend J.T. is the chef there! Of course, when he told me, I wanted to go back and support him! So, I walked in the other day and ordered two pizzas and an appetizer, again, outstanding! J.T. came out and said howdy and he gave me an ice cream bar, on the house. I know J.T. as a kind dude and now, as a great chef! My compliments to you Chef J.T., the pizzas rocked! All of the other staff were very nice as well and let me sit at the bar while waiting for my pizzas! The uniqueness of the pizzas and the combinations of the different ingredients and styles far surpasses imagination; creative and delicious! Thank you to J.T. and all staff at Archetype Pizza! I highly recommend stopping in and trying one of their pizzas, you’ll love it too!

If you look closely, you can see the book “The Elements of Pizza” on the shelf above D.F. Stauffers Fancy Cakes and Biscuits. It is entirely out of reach without a ladder, because they absolutely don’t need it. The pizza is phenomenal, the wings take me too close to the sun, and the staff is great. I can’t wait to go back!

We’ve been wanting to come here for a while and it was definitely warranted. Even though it was an extremely busy Saturday night, bartender Joe had two seats for us and was very very attentive. We had the Master of Pugs and the kitchen voluntarily remade it before we got it because it was over done.

Excellent ambience and pizza. Great service, great drinks for the grown folks. Fast and easy stop before catching a show at the Strand. Ran into a lot of old friends at an historic building that’s been revitalized into a gathering place for locals. My 13 yo kept trying to order drinks maybe some virgin cocktails on the menu is my only suggestion.

Came in on First Friday and although short staffed and extremely busy, still got seated within 10-15 minutes. Had a great experience as all were super friendly. Good cocktails and excellent pizza, especially the Detroit style Mac Attack. Great combo of cheeses on all their pizza. Definitely a place to revisit.

Amazing pizza. We got the Detroit style thick square pizza called “Shut up and eat it”. DELICIOUS. By far one of the best pizza I have had in awhile. The waiter was extremely nice and super fun! You can tell the pizza is authentic and they know the flavors that make a great pizza. Restaurant is pretty clean and it reminds me of a fun disco party! Lots of lights, bright walls, games to play but also very cozy as well. Give this place a try! SO GOOD.
