I’ve found our new ‘go to’ place for sushi! We tried Matsuyama on a friend’s recommendation and were not disappointed! We ordered the Rock and Roll, Jungle, and Crazy Monkey rolls. Each was delicious! We’ll definitely be back for our new favorites and to sample their many other creations!

The Best!!! Our favorite of all sushi restaurants..!!! The girls are the absolute best!!! The Crazy Monkey is the Best roll in All the Land!!! Ha!!! They custom make rolls and hand rolls to your liking! We do a sashimi Hamachi appetizer with jalapeño and avocado! They make me an Eel, Scallop and Hamachi handroll!!! Very buttery, very tasty!!!

This was really good sushi. The inside was clean and decorated well. Bathroom was clean as well. We got the tempura for starters and it was really delicious, fresh veggies and fried in fresh oil. We got two rolls, one fried and one not. I got jungle roll which was not fried and it was superb! I tried my girlfriends fried roll and it was just as scrumptious. You could go either way, fried or not both are excellent! Service was also very prompt and nice

It seemed very popular, clean and were very hospitable. It tasted different than the sushi I normally get so I’m a bit prejudiced but it’s definitely a place to try. I did enjoy the super crunchy spider roll. I thought I had taken more fotos but I guess I was stuffing my face and forgot.

First time at this restaraunt. Got seated right away. The service was fast. Gracious people great atmosphere. But the food came out. No flavor watery rice. Too huge for a single bite. Everything fell out while I tried taking my first bite. Rice was too wet and thick had a hard time swallowing and trying to eat my first bite. I paid for my meal and took the rest home because I felt bad on not trying to insult the cook. But I myself felt insulted by no one checking up on us and asking how we’re doing. Long story short I fed the rest to my dogs.

This place is good. We went on a Sunday afternoon and expected it to be over crowded and it wasn’t at all. We walked in and waited to be seated, there was only one waitress. We were seated across the sushi area which was a nice secluded area. Once we ordered the food came rolling out fast! I ordered the chicken Katsu bento box with extra California rolls and my wife ordered 2 Kapa maki rolls and the California special (deep fried). Our meals came with salad which was very well plated and miso soup. The waitress had some issues with another customers food so once that happened it kind of took forever for us to get service or the check which was towards the end of our meal which is why I took 1 star away due to one waiter, she was fine but I thought she could use an extra hand. They serve saki and other beers and beverages as well. If your looking for some good sushi in Tracy come here. Food is average priced for Japanese

As always, an awesome experience. The staff has a wonderful reputation of making you feel like family. Food is delicious. They have also been changing up / expanding there menu recently, so feel free to ask what items haven’t made it on the physical menu yet.
