My wife and I went here for lunch, and it was good. We were greeted and seated quickly. Faith, the waitress, was very professional and courteous. She also moved fast in getting us our food, drinks, and condiments. She came back consistently to refill our drinks and checked to see if we needed anything else. The food was great, and the environment was calm and relaxing. We were skeptical at first after some negative reviews, but we went to see for ourselves instead of listening to a bunch of “negative Nancy’s.” Me and my wife even laughed at some of the owner’s replies to the negative comments. They were hilarious and correct. If we have a chance, we’ll be back.

The tomatoe basil soup is hands down the best I have had! The Larry’s turkey sandwich is my go to! The fries are amazing and the Ruben is amazing too! There hasn’t been anything off their lunch menu that I have tried and didn’t like! Tried their supper one time and wasn’t to impressed and it depends on the server you get some of them are a little slow.

Old fashioned made perfect with Knob Creek! Hubby’s pimento cheeseburger was amazing! Ahi Tuna perfect and Table Rock chicken was surprisingly delicious! No complaints for the food and our waitress, Courtney was adorable and helpful. Loved the whole experience.

My first visit to J. Hartman’s. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, we were greeted, seated quickly, and our order was taken and arrived promptly. The restaurant (to include the restrooms) was very clean which is always appreciated. The food was okay. But, based on the other positive attributes I’ll visit again and try some other items on the menu.

Food was delicious, service was terrible and I ordered take out. Their sandwich meat is Boar’s Head brand which I love and I got the Italian sub and loved it. Hit the spot just right. My son got the Raging Cajun and liked it, didn’t love it, but liked it. And my other son got the chicken tenders and they were delicious. We also had two cupcakes and a coconut treat that were very delicious.

Ate there for evening meal on a Saturday. Seated quickly and server was reasonably attentive ( party of 6). Menus were new and terribly un-informative. Food was pricey for what you got! No drink menu and thus no drink pricing. ( If you can’t post the prices of your drinks it’s a good sign that they’re overpriced.) 20% gratuity for a party of six (which incidentally isn’t mandatory that you pay that in NC regardless of restaurant “rules”) is over the top! One of the best lunches I’ve had in awhile and our server Stephanie was incredible! Honesty can’t recommend this place or her more! I love the vegetarian menu. It’s difficult to come by in the South so I’m thankful for a new spot with those options.

I absolutely love their salads! I always get the chicken tender salad with no broccoli and onions added. Never had an issue. I would love if they had another top for the salmon. I’m not a fan of the toppings for it. Maybe like a herb topping or something. But the salads always rule!

Discovered this gem while working out of town for a couple of weeks. Tried several things on the menu and they were all mouthwatering. Especially like the side of the broccoli salad. I would like to make a meal out of that. The only thing wrong with this place is that it’s too far away from home.
