Breakfast food and service are excellent. Atmosphere needs a bit of updating. Photo credits: my fiance Kevin Roberts.

I honestly wasn’t expecting much because it looks like typical diner food. Which is usually meh. But everything was pretty good!

Awesome selection of breakfast dishes and lunch choices. While some of the eggs Benedict variations look weird, they all taste amazing. Grilled sandwiches were on point. Service was friendly and helpful.

Love this place. It has an old-style, hole-in-the-wall diner feel. I typically order the American classic, but I’ve also tried one or two of their skillets, French toast, and their biscuits and gravy. Everything has been delicious. It’s also one of my favorite places for drip coffee; I drink at least three cups every time I visit. This is an older, homey gem in a town full of newer, over-priced restaurants that never seem to be as good as you want them to be. Brunchies is one of my trusty go-tos. Check it out! Word of advice: try to arrive before 9:30-10:00am on weekends; it gets pretty busy beyond then.

The customer service was great. The restaurant was clean. When entering we felt cramped and this feeling continued through the visit. The booths were smaller than normal. The tables were small. The food was ok, but not great. I ordered an omelet and it was tough. The crunchy French toast looked tasty but was bland.

On our first time in here, we had the BLT omelettes, and they were excellent. All of the tables are physically distanced and spaced far apart, and everyone was wearing masks. The coffee was very good as well. Great prices and great value and great service. They have a very nice mid-century Diner aesthetic and it is executed to a T. I will definitely be back here for breakfast and brunch.

This is by far the best breakfast I’ve ever had in a restaurant. It was very clean and pleasant. Our server was spot on with our order. If you are looking for home cooking that you don’t have to cook it yourself. Then come to Brunchies. You won’t be disappointed. They clean the tables and seats as soon as you leave.

If you’re tired of the bougie brunch places that abound around Carmel, this is a down home ‘Hoosier style’ classic diner experience. Brunchies is a local breakfast lunch place that feels like an old school diner, or greasy spoon. The place is not greasy at all, it’s impeccably clean, and basic diner style seating, simple decor. Friendly wait staff and you can see the grill line in center of the space. Clearly there is a steady flow of regulars who dine here and have a strong relationship with the staff. The menu has all the traditional American diner offerings. I had a ‘skillet’ with hash browns scrambled eggs and green pepper (hold the onion for me) and topped with a tasty sausage gravy with a biscuit. Plenty of calories to hold me over for most of the day! Highly recommend, though the prices are on par with the other bougie brunch places in Carmel.

I haven’t been to brunchies in a few years. It will likely be a few years until I go back. My wife and mother-in-law’s eggs benedict had eggshells in it. It also took way too long for us to be seated when the restaurant wasn’t that busy. I enjoyed my meal which was the skillet pictured below. I thought the portions were too small for the price we paid but the restaurant was crowded and everyone else seemed to be happy (if that’s an indication of whether or not you should eat there).
