Really enjoyed this place! Would have loved it more if the chips and salsa were better. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the steak! Both were really delicious. The steak was super yummy. I also tried the modelo mango Chile for the first time and it was tasty! I also like fruity and sour beers, so if that is your taste pallet I recommend!!

Food was delicious! Best Mexican I’ve ever had. Very clean, cheerful atmosphere, good sized portions, & a fair price. Loved their guacamole. Everything we had was full of flavor and very fresh. We order the shrimp burrito, chicken chimichanga, and chicken flautas (substituting black beans for refried). Would recommend them all! Service was friendly albeit a bit slow on Mondays with only the one waitress. But food came out quickly and orders were accurate. Other nearby eateries being closed on Mondays may have contributed to how busy the waitress was as well.

Didn’t expect this at all, thought it would likely be the typical Mexican place but super surprised and couldn’t try to come up with something needing improvement. There are 3 similar establishments in this small-town and this far I’ve been to 2 and this one sets the bar really high for the 3rd one. Ashby the bartender took great care of us but I’m telling ya the perfectly cooked meats alone in this place will have me coming back soon from the steak to the chicken to the pork. Trust me go there its a one of a kind place!!!!!! Thanks guys keep up the good work it’s not unnoticed!

We stopped in for a quick bite today. Server was pleasant and answered all our questions so we could decide on what to order. We settled on chips, guacamole and salsa as appetizer, with a modelo bottle, the 2 tacos (one pork, one chicken), and the chicken breast lunch with black beans and rice. If you’re looking for great Mexican food in Cashiers this is it! The ingredients are so fresh, service was awesome, Gus was attentive and gave recommendations for waterfalls to see. I thoroughly enjoyed the chips and salsa, I had the chicken burrito, and the margaritas are a must!

Another recommendation from the hosts at our vacation rental, and an excellent one. Very authentic Mexican food. The chips are pretty unique. Not the typical thin and crispy, but kind of double layered. Obviously homemade! I wasn’t amazed by the pastor (pork) tacos, but they definitely were more like street tacos. Nice taco shells. The steak quesadilla and steak chimichanga were outstanding! Tasty and flavorful. The chimichanga was served over rice and cheese with the refried beans inside. And those beans were not the typical pile of mush you get at other Mexican places. Definitely a place to try. We’d definitely go back.

The flautas and shrimp burrito were on point. Loco margarita was made perfectly, and the atmosphere was quite enjoyable. Salsa was flavorful with just enough spice. Salsa Verde was the best I’ve had, super flavorful.

Wow! As a native Texan I give this place 2 thumbs up. Greatest Mexican food food in the area. The tortilla chips are fresh and homemade. I had the chalupas with chicken and they were delicious, fresh ingredients, cotija cheese and Mexican crema. All the other items had by the party were excellent. It will be a regular must have on our future trips to Cashiers.

The chips and salsa was $5 – most Mexican restaurants include it at no charge. The shrimp cocktail was really good. I had the Carnitas fajita. The quantity was huge. The pork was slightly on the dry side. The shrimp burrito was also a bit dry with small shrimp.
