Tasty and authentic Senegalese cuisine. Historical French influences and West African ingredients makes this restaurant unique from other African offerings around Columbus. The dishes will all be spicy so choose wisely. The only down side is the distance south of Columbus, but its well worth the trip for dishes you can’t get anywhere else locally.

Let me preface I have never had Senegalese food before. This food was beyond tasteful. During my 3 day stay, I visited this establishment twice. I ordered the #2 both times on the wall menu which I believe is called Thiebou guinar (Cheh-boo ghee-Nar). Second time I added the dessert with my main dish which was called a beignet I believe, not like the New Orleans kind. It was more like a deep fried sweet bread.

So I ordered lamb and joloff rice and They gave me yellow rice. When I told him this was what I ordered he told me to try it and I will like it. Then I tried it and went back inside. I didn’t like it how I like the brown joloff rice and when they gave me the brown rice it was cold like they just got it out the refrigerator smh. This was my second time coming I was very disappointed.

The people who run this place are amazing! Friendly and helpful. The food is lovely!! We went in for a light lunch and ended up taking more home. And the price is very good! This will now be a regular for us.

First visit. The owner was very friendly and helpful in suggesting items from the menu. Jerk chicken was excellent. Plantains, slaw and rice were all good. My friend got lamb shanks and said they were very good. The dining room is brightly lit and clean but plain. I enjoyed the music videos playing in a big screen.

This is by Far the best African/ Senegalese restaurant on the east side. It feels good to eat these delicious meals. The wait time is great and prices are affordable. You have a variety of food. When I have visitors I don’t bother myself in cooking I just order some dibi lamb, dibi chicken and rice . Customer service is also excellent and I also love the fact that it feels like the fast food restaurant where you have all the pictures on the wall and numbers to pick from. Kudos to you my African people.

There are a lot of things on the menu whose name were unknown to me. We tried a couple joloff rice dishes which were tasty

I’ve been there twice and food was cold, with hard old rice. First time there associate was rude; second time an associate was cordial. So service is a toss up. They also didn’t have the ‘deal of the day’ item when I went.

First time visitor. The cashier was helpful. The presentation of the food was on point. The only issue was the temperature. The food was cold…literally. I didn’t expect that at all. Once I arrived home, which is only 5 minutes from this establishment I had to heat the food…I didn’t appreciate it, I want my food hot so I can enjoy it right then and there. The food was tasty, flavorful. I would give this establishment another try. Hopefully the next time the food will be hot.
