At our Cincinnati, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The fact that this place isn’t open even after there is no Covid is beneath me. The inside should be open the line is ridiculous and after a certain time you can’t even call in an order because the phone is off the hook WHY!!!! But anyway the staff of cool AF and they are super polite that’s why I gave you guys a 4 but the owner needs to get it together because this isn’t it with these wait times in line.

My family and I love Captain D’s! Since the Norwood restaurant closed about a year ago, we come to this Reading Road location occasionally for carry-out. Favorite is the 4-piece Country Style fish meal. This last visit, it was drive-thru only, and the clerk did an excellent and efficient job taking my large order. When I got it home, everything was correct.

I ordered funnel cake stix- they were awesome. No photo, but take my word, they were piping hot with the perfect amount of powered sugar on them and I was done with them before I pulled out of the drive way. If only there was a larger size, because there’s only like 8 Stix in the box.
