This spot never disappoints. The tofu appetizer had some ridiculous flavor which made the tofu amazing. I typically struggle to eat it. The monkey brains was also fantastic with a great fry on them. The steak appetizer was ridiculously flavorful. I honestly could have gotten two of those for my meal. The sushi was pretty solid, not my favorite sushi destination, but very good nonetheless.

Quality of fish is excellent. The sushi here beats out the majority of the other sushi restaurants in the valley. The steak is always cooked to perfection and so tender. Flavor is excellent. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Great service, you can tell staff works hard.

If you are looking for high quality delicious food Sakana Sushi bar is a great place to go. Good variety friendly staff that makes you feel welcome…well worth the time and money. Seating is limited so I suggest arriving a little earlier than most people would eat dinner. Obviously I have been back since…never been dissapointed with the place yet…amazing friendly service to boot…

Never disappoints. I’ve heard some bad experiences before and about someone finding a cockroach in the soy sauce bottle lol. Well I never had issues since the day these guys opened til now so we good haha. Been coming here for years and never had a problem.

I gone here with my girlfriend and honestly the best think was the shrimp tempura(fried shrimp). me and her were the first couple that gone into the restaurant when it opened at 5pm but more people came in soon after. During this time we ordered a couple roles, appetizers, dinner items along with other things such as the “sushi taco”. So over all the food just wasn’t good, not only for the taste but i ordered a chicken option while she got a steak option. She wanted the steak cooked to medium rare and what we got was not anything i would let her eat. the beef looked rotten and was not anywhere near medium rare and was not warm or hot. we were able to tell it was not freshly cooked. When my plate got to me I noticed an issue right off the back the chicken was cold as well but also very dry. No I can understand if it is hot and a bit dry if it was fresh or slightly over cooked but no you could physically see the chicken and steak was not freshly cooked like it should. me and her like to enjoy our meal and honestly this was one of the biggest disappointments i have had in a long time. I would personally not recommend this place if you want quality food.

I thought the rolls and dumplings were good, the miso soup however was not the best I’ve had. Was not thrilled that hostest decided to sit my wife and I directly next to another couple in a mostly empty restaurant. The waitress was very attentive, she was the best part of the Sakana Sushi experience.

While it is generally unwise to order American food at an Asian restaurant, I have done so more times than a fool would care to admit. But finally, after 30 years of marriage to a foodie, I have tasted success. She had the sunset roll, and claims it was delicious. I ignored all the inconceivably terrible choices in my past, and ordered the BBQ ribs and fries. For the first time in a year, I finished every last fry on my plate. Absolute perfection in the fried potato category. Seriously, better than most American joints. Then I dove into the ribs. When I came up for air, the 6 were gone, I was stuffed, and so very satisfied. I’ve eaten some of the world’s most acclaimed ribs, and these belong near the top of that chart. They are a bit different than your typical BBQ, but still so delectable. Anyway, I think this couple found a new favorite restaurant! Also, our server, Holly, was excellent. Zero complaints.
