Solid cafe rio. Pretty standard, but the food was really good and tasted fresh. We also noticed that it was prepared fast and we were worried because we just happened to be in a bit of a rush. Nice building, close to the campus, no issues.

Absolutely the “Worst” Cafe Rio I have ever been too which is disappointing because I live in Rexburg! They are open until 10pm or later and “Always” are out of steak and carne asada by 7pm – 8pm! I have a family and work and most days cannot get over there to order until after 8pm and it looks like a S$&t show with empty tins, messy food prep areas and all I ever get is a “I’m sorry, we cannot cook expensive meat this late and risk throwing it out”……..Are you Bleep’n kidding me?!?! You have a walk-in cooler……cook the damn meat and put what ever is left in the bloody cooler!!! Seriously, I’m surprised they have have over 3 stars to be completely honest!!!

Cafe Rio is the best. Sadly everyone knows that so the line is always really long but all the employees work quickly and efficiently so the line goes decently fast. The food is delicious no matter what you get, especially the sweet pork tacos which are only $1.99 each on Tuesday or whenever with your BYUI card. They also have the best ice (it’s the pebble ice like sonic) which is what gets me to buy a drink every time I’m there. They also sometimes have a survey on the recipe which is great because if you fill it out you can get a free dessert or chips and salsa. Such a deal! They also have a fantastic loyalty program and an app. 10/10 recommend.

Went in this evening at 9:25 and all of the food was gone except for a spicy beef. Why do you have hours until 10:00 if you are not willing to keep serving the majority of your menu until closing time? Most everything was cleaned up. Not professional or up to standard with other Cafe Rio restaurants!

This is a great cafe rio. I despite being completely packed with tons of people they managed to do a great job and keep everyone moving through the line as quick as they could. The food here was great and the service was great as well. Place seemed well kept. I would recommend coming here for some good food.

Pretty terrible experience when you expect consistency with Cafe Rio. The portions on everything was SO small for my veggie tostada, even when I asked for a little more. Everyone seemed new or clueless. They were out of literally everything I wanted (lettuce, rice, beans, guac), so the order took forever. The dressing was tasteless and watery. The few bites that were in my tostada were bland as could be. I love Cafe Rio and go all the time, but my meal at this location was a total waste of money. I’m honestly still hungry because it was so small.

The inconsistency of the portions they serve is enough to make me want to drive off the nearest cliff which is like 20 miles away. More often than not, they will give me two shreds of chicken for my salad. There should be a way to more consistently give a normal portion of chicken. Ever heard of a scale?

Normally this place is super good but for some reason today, I picked up my online order and I had a different experience. My tortilla shell is literally a chip, it’s stale and hard, and I specifically asked for things to be removed (due to allergies) and they added them. Little disappointed.
