i have always had a good experience with tosaka until today. i went and ordered some salmon to go. as i was eating, i noticed some white strings. i’ve seen things online about parasites/worms in salmon, but i was skeptical that this could be worms, i figured it was just fat or something else. i looked it up, and it is what seems to be the parasites/worms. i think the photos online look similar enough to be a bit concerned. salmon can have parasites occur and that is actually quite normal, and apparently if the salmon is cooked to temperature, they die and they aren’t harmful to your body, but who wants to eat a worm carcass? i know i don’t. what if the food wasn’t cooked properly and some were still alive without someone realizing? there should have been diligence in checking the food. who knows if there are things going unnoticed in other food items. just grosses me out. be weary when ordering the fish.

Please stay away if you don’t want to get scammed. They have one price on the menu and charge a different one at the register. When you confront them, they keep saying prices have gone up. If they have gone up, then why hadn’t the menu changed? Super unethical. First time going and won’t come back.

I was kicked out before I could be seated because I had a vested legitimate service dog. I am referring to a real, task trained and well behaved service dog. I explained it was the law for me to have access and I could call the police and was pointed to a table with the Catawba Sheriff’s department who heard the entire exchange and said nothing. They do not follow American law.

We go here all the time. The wings are amazing! Priced just right. Never had to wait for seating. The waitresses are super friendly. We will continue to eat here. I would recommend Tosaka. The owner (lady) is a little bit hard on her staff. Nice to me tho

Shrimp and chicken was dry, steak was ok. They really need to change out the booths, very uncomfortable. Service was ok. Half the food hit the table for our party and the others had nothing… Timing needs to be better.

This place has always been my go to Japanese when I didn’t want to go to Kobe. Tonight’s experience was not as good as we have had in the past. My husband ordered teriyaki steak and it came out like a kid portion. He also ordered a salad, which came in a styrofoam to go box. Little to no salad in the box. I ordered teriyaki chicken and replaced the broccoli with zucchini. The zucchini was barley …the teriyaki sauce was nasty.
