I love a good Indian buffet and have been waiting for one to reopen. I was quite impressed when I found India Grille. This was our first time here. The staff was friendly with a very clean and welcoming dining room. The condiment table was well stocked and organized with my favorites. The starters were warm and crispy. But then, I went to the main entrees. I was very disappointed. The basmati rice was very mushy, overcooked and lacked flavor. The tandoori chicken was on the dry side. There was a shrimp entree but there was no shrimp to be found, just a lot of sauce. Same for the other entrees. A lot of sauce with very little protein. There was one vegetable dish with plenty of veggies but lacked flavor. The biryani dish was good but I did pay for a buffet for just biryani. For the $17.99, it was not a value.

It hurts me to write this, but this place has really gone down hill the past two years. This used to be my favorite Indian restaurant in DE, but the quality of the food has really gone down. The last 3 times we went there the quality of the food was very wishy washy. Sometimes it was great; sometimes it wasn’t that good. Last night my bf and decided to order some curry and our favorite appetizer pakri chaat for take out. The curries was fine, but the pakri chaat really didn’t have any of chutneys on it. Yet that’s not why I’m making this review. I’m making this review because while eating it I pulled out a staple out of my mouth while eating it. I was very shocked and very disappointed.I

Food is ok. We ordered Veg Biriyani, Grill Fish for dine-in. They took more than 1/2 hour to prepare and bring the food even though there were only 2 tables occupied with people. This was really frustrating.

the food is very good, however pick-up time is very very slow, placed the order on a tuesday, ETA was 35-45 minutes, but it was more then an hour when it was ready, even though the cashier tells you it would be ready in 10 more minutes, next time i m gonna take a flight to Mumbai and come back, India Grille order be ready, maybe they were good, but 20 years ago.

Great restaurant. Service was excellent. Food took the right time to arrive to table with good intervals between starters and main courses. Very relaxing environment. Food was very good. Enjoyed the vegetable pakoras. Indian style tea brewed with milk was delicious and enough quantity for 3 people. Very fair prices. Definitely a hidden gem of a restaurant.

we been there many times and price was reasonable. so we went there on march 2023 and we didn’t know price is $17.99 plus tax. i thought it is 13.99 but anyway menu didn’t change for lunch buffet , they raised the price but quantity of food was less. goat curry and there is not solid meat . no naan was there we had to ask for it. rice was dry and vegetables was old and tasteless. appetizer cut down to three items and before was more appetizer. so i can tell that was our very last visit to India grill. And We were wondering why only one guests beside us was eating lunch buffet on Saturday and we found the answer. more pricey and quantity and quality of the food makes this business down.

Not very pleased with food and service. Buffet was priced same for veg and non veg, with only 1-2 veg main courses. We ordered separately and had to wait 20-25 mins or more to recieve food. Ambience and facilities just okay.

Whenever I’m over to Wilmington, I go to India Grille. Taste and quality of food is great and portions are generous. Love the freshly baked Naan. I will certainly come back, however, they should be a little more attentive – my online order seemed to be missing and then they confused themselves with what to prepare, so I had to wait for quite a while.
