Tried The BBQ Shack for the first time today and it was OK. The place is very small with no indoor dining. You order at a window and there are two small tables on the porch you can eat at. I got the smoked turkey platter and the turkey was great. The mac and cheese was pretty good, but the baked beans tasted canned. My husband got the brisket platter and the brisket was really dry and flavorless. The collards he got were sweet which isn’t how we are used to having collards so that was a little off putting. The sweet tea was also pretty bland. We sat on the porch to try and eat, and yellow jackets ended up perching on our food so we ended up having to leave and finish our food elsewhere. The lady at the counter also wasn’t very friendly. I would come back here for the smoked turkey alone, but if that wasn’t so delicious I wouldn’t bother coming back.

I’ve only ever had the Brisket, green beans and Mac n cheese and let me just say it’s the BEST brisket I have ever had!! It’s well worth a visit here. They are friendly and even when busy I think they are fast at putting your meal together! I promise you won’t be disappointed and I feel the prices are pretty decent! Give it a try and go support this small business in Deep Creek!!

Excellent brisket. You’ll have to beat the lunch rush. The line can get really long but the wait is worth it. This visit the time from arrival to get food was less than ten minutes. I recommend getting brisket macdaddy sandwich on a pretzel bun. This place makes chains like Mission BBQ have to do their best to compete for the title of best BBQ in the area.

The bbq here is amazing and full of flavor. My favorite is the smoked turkey breast and brisket but what I absolutely loved was the cornbread. It was not like any cornbread I’ve ever had…slightly sweet and had a cake texture…I ate it like it was dessert!! The sauces are great too!

WOW! Best BBQ in town! Don’t let the outside fool you. Yes, it does look like a normal house on the outside but take the risk and go in. It is well worth it.

Went there today on a word of mouth recommendation. I got there around 11, and it wasn’t too busy. Very shortly after I arrived, so did everyone else… which is a great sign. The service was quick and personable. I Ordered the brisket platter with coleslaw and Mac and cheese, opted for the cornbread over the roll. This food was absolutely delicious. Taste was incredible, I did choose to use the Carolina sauce which was exceptional. 10/10 recommend this place.

Best BBQ in town. Brisket is cooked perfectly everytime. Banana Pudding is also one of the best I have had.

This place is a real gem! Prices are really good and so is the food! The brisket was tender the ribs are fall off the bone a bit fatty but the flavor is great. And don’t forget to try the home made jalapeno smoked sausage it has a bite to it but so flavorful. I had the sampler platter that had these three different meats on it with collards and mashed sweet potatoes. The collards were good and the sweet potatoes tasted like sweet potato pie with out the crust! They also have housemade sauces. Try them all to see which one you like. I liked the mustard based South Carolina sauce and the sweet bbq sauce for my brisket. The pulled pork here is North Carolina based with vinegar and spices. They serve their sandwiches on Martin’s potato rolls some of the best rolls on the market. Give this local business a try and you will be surprised.

BEST COLLARD GREENS IN THE AREA + wonderful customer service. I had the banging bbq sandwich with a side of mac n’ cheese and collard greens. The BBQ was satisfactory, but could have done with more sauce, and the mac n’ cheese wasn’t anything to write home about. The bread pudding was good enough. The location is a bit difficult to find but it’s catty-corner from Zino’s at what looks like a house.
