We went there for the very first time as this restaurant came recommended. However, we were genuinely disappointed by the quality of the food. The grouper was badly overcooked. Here is the good news: The memorable dessert moved the food rating from one star to three stars. In fact, this was one of the best (if not the best) peanut butter pies we have ever eaten. The server was very friendly. The interior and general atmosphere were not all too inviting and could use some updating.

I’ve haven’t been here in years and while visiting family, decided to stop in with my parents. I had been out of the country for months and was craving a ‘simple’ BLT. I was excited until it was delivered to our table. It was the saddest BLT I have seen. It barely had any meat on it. The bacon was only a bite on one part of the sandwich. If I were the cook, I would’ve been embarrassed to send that sandwich out to a paying customer. The server came to our table and asked if everything was okay. I had to be honest and say no. I showed her the sandwich and asked her to take it out the bill and to charge me for the potato only. She took the sandwich and apologized for the lack of meat. She came back and offered a slice of pie on the house. I accepted whatever she recommended…the Key lime pie. It was okay.

If I am going to pay good money for a steak I expect a good steak. Sadly my steak was over cooked, and the taste was very bland. The service was medicore at best and we were her only table. If you are good with drunks walking around past you in and out from outside while your trying to eat a meal this is the place for you. Personally, I prefer a nice atmosphere with great attentive service with an awesome meal for those prices. Will not be back.

Went to Luke’s Pup this past Saturday and found out while we were there that this was the last night they would be opened. Have heard conflicting stories about whether Luke’s would open again at that location or even open again at all! I have always liked the laided back no frills atmosphere of Luke’s. If they do bring it back I hope they keep that same laid back atmosphere. Food and service are always great!

Chicken sandwich has black pepper & I think there’s some sauce added to the bun which I didn’t like. Fries were very soft. My companion said that the green beans were spicy, but they liked that. Mashed potatoes were good, but a bit too cold. I snagged a bite of my companion’s steak without the gravy. I wasn’t impressed. It was dry( I know that’s what the gravy is for, but I don’t like gravy), however, my companion said it was good. The servers were very friendly & welcoming. The decorations & atmosphere was nice, yet the temperature was cold. Restroom was clean.

Everything is always delicious!! We started the night with some Yeungling & Rosé. Our starter was fried mushrooms, and each of us got a different steak for our entreés. For dessert we tried the key lime pie, the chocolate pie, & the banana pudding. All fantastic!! Its a family favorite & we will be back!!
