If you like owner-owned hole-in-a-wall type sandwich joints, then this might be for you. This place has affordable sandwiches, chips and soda. You can easily make changes to any sandwich on the menu because the owner takes orders and then makes them immediately. The sandwiches are yummy and portions are great. But if you are picky about establishments that are clean, then this is not for you. On many occasions, the owner would take orders, handle cash & credit cards and then go make sandwiches. He does not wash his hands, does not wear gloves or a mask or a cap/hair net nor does he wear an apron. His t-shirt and pants are filthy and on several occasions, I’ve seen him just wipe his hands on a wet rag that’s sitting on the counter or just on his clothes. I haven’t had food poisoning yet… so that’s a good thing.

We went here to Joes for a late lunch and it was definitely worth it, delicious sandwiches made fresh while you wait. A good variety available along with a good selection of drinks. Hot and cold available as well as salads.

I’ve been coming here every weekend for three months now. Joe is very friendly and always happy to give recommendations. I’ve tried almost every sandwich here and haven’t been disappointed once! Today I tried the garden burger sandwich on sourdough. Poured a little hot sauce on it and enjoyed myself.
