Oh my goodness – impressed is a severe understatement! We went on Cinco De Mayo – and we both worked in the service industry so we honestly expected less than par service and food because they were so busy. We were so very wrong! Immediately greeted, they sat us in minutes, our drinks were at our table SO fast. The cheese sauce – DELICIOUS. Margaritas were incredible – I am not a fan of marg mix, so I ordered the skinny margarita and it was so refreshing and tasted so light, not the heavy, sweet mix. My fiancé ordered their regular margarita and was also impressed (he ordered 2 more haha!). He also ordered their Fajitas with steak, chicken, and cheese sauce on the side – came out hot and delicious, and I got the Burrito Loco with steak (servers recommendation!) and I am still dreaming about it! Steak cooked perfectly, everything was fresh, HUGE portions… we will be back!!!!

I usually follow the 3 strikes rule but in this case, one strike was enough. When we walked in it took several minutes to get seated even with a full staff and empty tables. We got chips in about 10 minutes and ordered then. FORTY FIVE minutes later we went up front paid for our drinks and chips, left a minor tip and will not go back. The restaurant is dinghy and too dark. There was some weird guy up front playing a keyboard EXTREMELY loudly. We could hardly hear each other because he was so loud and his voice was not pleasant. All in all…one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’m old and fat and I’ve had a lot of dining experiences.

Not sure what’s happening here but this place *used* to be good. We have been coming here probably once a month for over a year but tonight……tonight was so disappointing. I ordered the Carnitas en Salsa Verde and my wife got the fried steak chimichanga. The tortilla for the chimichanga was barely fried and undercooked. Steak was OK though. My carnitas though…..were NOT carnitas. The cut of meat may have been correct but they forgot to shred and roast to create the delicious crispy ends that you normally get. See picture. It looked like sliced porkloin and tasted like it too. When told to the waitress she said “oh well, it still looks good” and walked away. I again gave her a chance to do something, anything, to make me happy…..nada. a 3rd chance wad given at the register and this time I got a half hearted “sorry”. Allegedly, the manager was in Mexico. When said manager gets back I *hope* things go back to normal. Until then, I’ll find another place. Its a shame…..had potential.

11/22/20 update. I called in an order for pickup. When I arrived, my food was not quite ready; so, I took a seat and waited. I would periodically check to see if my order was ready, but since the staff was busy, I was mostly depending on the waitress to let me know when the food was ready. After patiently waiting for more than 30 minutes, I asked about my food. I was told that my food had been ready for about 25 minutes. Because my food had been sitting out for so long, I thought that I would check the temperature of my food, and to my dismay, my food was no longer hot; since I had made my presence known to the staff, and since the staff had failed to notify me when my food was ready causing me to have to wait for an extended period of time, I asked to have my food remade so that I would be fresh and hot when I returned home. Reluctantly, the manager agreed to remake the food. When I returned home, I found that because the food was reheated in the container, the styrofoam had in some places melted into the food (see photos). Nothing like carcinogens with your lunch. Now I know that have to be that guy that checks his food prior to leaving this restaurant. Bottom line, if you call in an order, check your food before you leave.

Late lunch. Fresh delicious. Excellent salsa roja. Very spicy. The traditional tacos were excellent. The corn tortillas seemed hand made and held up to the asada. The chicken enchiladas Verde were out of this world. My choice for mexian in this area.
