Pearl Morissette Metis Rouge 2017
51% Pinot Noir (Home Farm vineyard, Creekshore), 37% Cabernet Franc (Home Farm vineyard) and 12% Gamay (Mitzsturak vineyard, Lincoln Lakeshore). The Pinot and Gamay were both fermented as 100% whole-cluster, while the Cabernet Franc was 100% destemmed. Fermentation by indigenous yeast proceeded steadily in a combination of foudres (Pinot and Gamay) and concrete (Cabernet Franc). The wine aged in its fermentation vessels for a total of 11 months. 2017 Métis Rouge was bottled unfiltered and unfined. This is a wine that brings to mind the Burgundy soils with which Francois worked for 8 years. It has a complex, rich nose with an earthy and slightly “barnyard” quality. An amazing and sophisticated cuvée that opens up as you drink it.		 $29.50

Cool little spot with an interesting menu of assortment choices that’s worth checking out. I went with the Ultimate Rueben Sandwich. When I heard ultimate I was expecting more meat or a larger two-hand type of sandwich I got neither . The Sandwich was good thou not gonna lie….just for the price wish it was bigger. Overall it’s cool, the customer service was nice and all the food are made when ordered so your wait time will be a nice little minute too. I’ll be back to check on a few other items I saw on the menu. 7.8

I placed a catering order and an Item was not included when the order was picked up. This was a vegetarian lasagna that I really needed for my guest. Well the manager went above and beyond to make sure that I received the lasagna. Needless to say, the party was a success, the lasagna was DELICIOUS as was everything else I ordered. Thank you Dunnings team for your excellent customer service. I really appreciate that!!

It was my first time here. I had the jerk chicken burger. You have to tell them the toppings you want on the burger. I didn’t know this so my burger consisted of a patty, sauce, on pretzel bread. The patty is tasty. I wish it came pre-made with lettuce and tomatoes. The wait was long because there were only two workers. They had free dessert samples that were really good. I have to come back and buy their desserts.

Top quality, well prepared food in generous portions. The Thanksgiving Dinner was excellent. The store stocks many unique, hard to find food related items. The owner always makes you feel like a valued customer. One of the highlights of downtown Flossmoor. Highly recommended!

I learned about this place 2 years ago. The selection of meats and cheeses are great. However, some of the food is not seasoned good. I paid 15 bucks for a steak at their out door event last year and it was terrible. The past two years the place has gone down. A colleague of mine got burnt salmon from them before. Prices have gone up and portions are smaller now. I do understand the pandemic and inflation are factors. Some of the staff seem like they have a problem understanding and taking orders. A bunch of kids who play around and don’t take their job serious. I’m all for hiring young people but they should go through an extensive training on how to deal with customers. The owner is mean, heartless, and careless. I feel it is time for them to go and give another business their space. There is nothing special about this place. Any other Deli will do because it’s the only Deli in downtown Flossmoor. Most people here won’t tell the truth. I know I’m speaking for a lot of people who are afraid to say anything.
