Many varieties of absolutely delicious homemade pie; especially the not-so-easy-to-find sour cream and raisin! Hot Roast Beef sandwich and crispy sweet potato fries also notable. Staff was friendly and attentive. Atlantic should be proud!

Super place for lunch!! Used to be in a hotel but it has been converted to apartments and some offices. Great service and food!! They even have an outside patio for when it is warmer. Lots of history posted on the walls.

It was busy but as always was delicious! I had the special (fried chicken dinner) and my hubby had our usual chicken fried steak and as usual was great. When we are in Atlantic @ lunch time, we always stop here.

Great ambiance. The servers seemed genuinely happy to be there. I left feeling like I belonged even though I was passing through. The food was delicious and inexpensive and the coffee was perfect! If you’re hungry and in the area, don’t pass up the Downtowner!

My first experience at the downtowner did not disappoint. Food was amazing, I had the best patty melt I’ve had in quite a while. Little brother and sister had some issue with the chocolate milk bit issue was fixed. Planning on coming again soon.
