I love the sushi in this place. The quality and taste have been consistent. There is a good ambience, and they have a friendly staff. The only hiccup has been the waiting time to be served. Having been there on a busy and a slow night, we founded ourselves wondering if our server knew that we were there. Nevertheless, they ​ended up doing a good job.

WOW Service and atmosphere were so good !!but the- sushi and all the rolls !! were beyond DREADFUL.. seriously not even fresh It took like 30 mins to get a simple sushi roll..and I dont think sushi chef are real. the WORST sushi ever in my life. Sorry being so honest.

I have been going to sushi damo since I was a teenager. It was definitely a high standard for me at the time. The resturant focuses on more of a classic look then a Japanese felling. I have ordered almost everything on the menu and there was not one thing I didn’t like. I enjoy the service. The thing that makes you pause is the price which is more expensive then a standard sushi place. So I definitely visit Damo every few months.

My wife started with the Ginger Pear Martini, which she LOVED. Not too sweet, just perfect. I had the Sapporo 22 oz can and we shared a large hot sake (perfect for a cold spring evening). For dinner I had the sashimi platter ($26) with a side salad. Good value, lots of meat- octopus, salmon, yellow tail, scallops, etc. My wife had the Twilight roll, yum. Great sushi spot in Rockville town square. Definitely coming back soon.
