Portions are huge, prices are lower than most comparable places, with plenty of different menu options. Food was reasonably prompt and very tasty. However, chilango is a nickname for Mexico City citizens, so I expected cuisine from that area. Most of the menu is from the northern Mexican states. Still very tasty, just not what I had gotten my hopes up about. Definitely recommend. They sell cute, kitschy Mexican mugs and other tchotchkes. Some are nice high quality, so drink your beer and bring home souvenirs. Win win!

Plenty of seating with traditional Mexican decor. The birria tacos were very small as seen in the picture. Torta was good and filling. The tostadas were loaded and tasty! The chilaquiles had plenty of meat but needed more sauce. The lemonade was freshly squeezed. Overall, good food.

Very solid Mexican restaurant. Food is great, the decor inside looks like you’re in Mexico. Got the Chicken Enchiladas, tasty. They also have a small store inside the restaurant selling Padre Island merch straight from Mexico. 9/10

Unassuming restaurant but food is quite good. The dining area could use a refresh. Ordering at the counter, it was gratifying to see fresh lemons and limes being prepped. It’s better than average food here. Prices are reasonable, with the exception of the Mexican Cola. It’s weird, as it was almost $5 a bottle. So close to the Mexican border, I would expect much cheaper pricing.

Beautiful place! You order 1st at the register & then they take the food to the table. Good strong coffee, horchata/jamaica fresh & not over sweet, menudo was good, BUT flour tortillas are super thin & quick to go hard. Restroom is hot/humid. Girls toilet does not flush easily. Over $60 for 2 plates, 2kids plates, 3drinks. Not bad if it wernt small portions ♀️

Best tacos in SPI. Beautiful decor and gift shop inside. The tacos were delicious. We loved the salsa, it was sooo good. We ordered the bistek tacos and the spicy shrimp tacos. Will definitely be eating here again. Don’t skip this taco joint, it’s the best one!
