AWESOME!! El Pollo Guapo in Glastonbury is great!!! You have to try it. Very friendly counter service. Dazed and Confused Rice Bowl is one the best taste experiences ever. So much going on in there, a different flavor in every bite. It is a good size bowl for lunch. Spicy Taco is great as well. Very tasty but very messy to eat. Rice side with Tacos is ok. Inside is plain and simple with a few tables in the back. Would definitely go back.

First, I want to preface this with the fact that I gave the Wethersfield location 5 stars (Wethersfield location has moved to main st. Newington). This location is run by unprofessionals that forget the customer should not be questioned on matters of taste. I told them the first tacos I got were ice cold, they told me they were not 3 times, they also used assumptions and gave me the wrong tacos. If I was wrong, then why were the reordered tacos deliberately piping hot like they should be? Also, the music in the dining room was inappropriately loud, just like the overly tinted windowed camry that pulls up to me at the stop light on park street in Hartford. My experience was a nightmare and I can only recommend this place to a 12-17 year old who doesn’t care how their food tastes as long as the music is loud enough to annoy everyone but them and the unprofessional workers in the kitchen.

My favorite thing about this place is the convenience. The food is solid. I get the dazed and confused bowl (hilarious name, especially if you’ve watched that movie hundreds of times in college) with extra chicken. They use toast tab for their online orders which makes everything so simple. They even keep my previous order for quick ordering. I wish the bowls were bigger however for most normal people I’d imagine they say it’s plenty of food. I’ll be back and keep doing awesome work.

It has been some time and it hit me, I need something delicious today. Naturally I arrived here. I ordered one of my favorite dishes ever, barely legal bowl. Sure hits the spot on a hot summer day. They also have Hosmer on tap which really adds to the appeal. Great food quality everytime I have eaten here. The service was good and the place is clean. The music was a bit loud, which I don’t mind, however if you are looking for a quiet intimate place this may not be for you. If you are looking for a place that is somewhat trendy, quality food in a fun environment this sure is the place for you.

We frequent El Pollo Guapo often for takeout. Fresh ingredients, great quality. The food is delicious, with layers and layers of flavors. Menu-wise, the restaurant’s primary focus is house made rotisserie chicken in tacos, bowls, salads or as an entrée with sides. Portion size is perfect. Rice Bowls are a fav, we got a Custom Almost Legal and Arroz Con Pollo bowls. Split a Special Brownie for dessert, you wont regret it. The staff is hard working & always friendly. Food is way too tangy. I have had this in Hartford and it was different. Crispy Brussel Sprouts mostly had individual leaves overcooked and super tangy. Fries, the same. Not a fan anymore. Sadly will not order again!

This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. This was amazing. I got the almost legal bowl, a spicy Taco, and the fat potatoes. Everything was over the top great. The bowl was loaded with flavorful items and the results were outstanding. The spicy Taco was great. And the fat potatoes rounded it all out beautifully. I highly recommend this place. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 10. I don’t know what they could do better.
