I got the vegan tacos and they were delicious! I’m not sure what type of soy meat they use but I really liked it and the rice and beans were seasoned nicely. Great portions and flavor! I’ll definitely go back. (plus my skinny margarita was perfect – they did not skimp on the alcohol)

My wife and I came here tonight at around 6pm, the restaurant was decently busy but we got sat down right away and were given chips and salsa. We both ordered Burrito San Jose. The food was delivered quickly. They were DELICIOUS, the chicken was extremely flavorful, and I could only eat half and took the rest home to my kids.

Pretty good. You can tell how new it is, everyone seems to still be learning. Some mistakes here and there, but the food was not disgusting. Pineapple strawberry margarita was yummmmy. Chips and salsa was good, the salsa needed some salt, and I bit into a super hot pepper that almost sent me to heaven but that’s a small price to pay for free chips and salsa . Our server was nice and friendly, I didn’t get his name. The chorizo queso dip was piping hot, but kinda bland, I just feel like it needs a little spice or some sort of flavor. It was lacking only in that sector. The tacos I would give a 8/10. Red onions on a taco is criminal in my world, but to each their own I guess. The meat was drier than I’d like. The tortillas were acceptable. I would go again.

The most authentic Mexican food in the Norfolk/Ghent area. If you’re here for nacho cheese or chipotle type burritos, you’re in the wrong place. Here you’ll find large margaritas and delicious food. The authentic style tacos are all exquisite to their own respect, with perfectly marinated meat on fresh corn tortillas. All of the salsas have great taste and spice, with fresh ingredients, to include some milder salsas for the feint of heart. Stop in this local restaurant with a lively and friendly atmosphere and enjoy some true authentic food right here in Ghent at Tacos Y Tequila!

Drink prices aren’t listed. Other than that, it was a great time! BEAUTIFUL ambiance, and the food was great. Waiter was not experienced at all but quickly fixed his mistakes. I had the Arroz con Pollo, extra rice, side of picó de Gallo, and a strawberry margarita (with Espolón tequila for 7.99). Everything was delicious. The margarita was really good and I don’t like margaritas. I had all that food and still felt the tequila! I’ll be back.
