Friendly staff, cool atmosphere and delicious food all in one place! I ordered the chopped pork sandwich with fries. Good proportion size on fries and the sandwich was packed with meat. An assortment of tasty sauces to choose from for use. I prefer this place over the “City” folks establishments, especially regarding proportion sizes and pricing. I would recommend and will eat here again for sure!

Had to take my buddy to Black Powder Smokehouse for some brisket, mac & cheese, pork rinds. It was awesome. My friend said it was the best BBQ he’s had in NC. He also got the banana pudding and said it was fantastic. I’m ready to go back again!

Our new favorite place for brisket and pulled pork! Black Powder catered an event where my wife works a few weeks ago. She said it was so good, we had to go eat there in person. The place is clean and welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere. Every one of the four employees we interacted with was friendly and polite. Best of all, the food was very good! The variety of sauces at the table were also good. Not sure which one is my favorite yet! We highly recommend Black Powder and will be back soon.

My only complaint is I didn’t get to try my Quesadillla, however, this place is amazing. The burnt ends sandwich, mac and cheese and greens were delicious . Please try this place out, you won’t be disappointed. SN: I’m coming back on a Wednesday for my Quesadilla

I had pulled pork and baked beans. The port was extremely tender and flavorful, with no noticeable chunks of fat or overcooked trim. The baked beans came with three different types of beans and was marinated in a vegetable, vinegar, and spice concoction that rendered it slap-yo-mama good. Prices are high. And, normally I would deduct a star. But, the excessively good food experience will make the price well worth it to some. Seating is quite limited for the space. This is a bonus if you appreciate roomy dining. And, parking is even more limited. So, plan to carpool and wait if you’re coming with a large group or visiting during busy hours.
