Lannings is great to go to for a special occasion. We went for our anniversary and was greeted with mandatory valet and a hand written anniversary card at our table. Food was excellent but was hard to swallow the $200+ bill after tip. We did get a free dessert for our anniversary.

My husband had always been a long time customer of this restaurant. We recently were there with our adult children. My husband made this reservation a month ago. Our daughter and her husband were here from out of town and this had always been a favorite place. After we had drinks and appetizers at the bar, we asked to be seated at our table. They seated us at a round table right in front of a platform/stage for six of us in the bar . My husband asked to speak with someone. He had told them that if we would’ve known that we were going to be in front of a stage/platform with someone singing, we would have canceled our reservations. Our reservations was meant to be in the main dining room. We wanted a nice, relaxing dinner. The vocalist was very good. That was not the issue. It was just very hard to talk and communicate because of the loudness . What the issue was when my husband talked to the owner’s wife we assume that’s who it was my husband just said if someone would’ve called us and told us we would’ve made other arrangements. She basically told my husband that a hospital had rented out the dining room. And that if we didn’t like where we were setting then we should JUST LEAVE ! . Needless to say we ended up staying (where were we to go last minute on a Friday night) we spent almost $1000 that night between six of us and the customer service was horrible. We will never return there again. . THE OWNERS WIFE WAS SO RUDE VERY DISRESPECTFUL !!!

We celebrated our 45th anniversary tonight and went back to Lannings where 45 years ago we had our bridal party dinner. The food was great. Service was very good and atmosphere was superb because they recently remodeled. A very nice evening and they treated us really special for our anniversary, with an anniversary card and along with the owners coming to each table to thank you for coming and to chat with you.

Wow. I get what they’re trying to do, but not achieving. Pros: the employees were well trained and friendly. Cons: the atmosphere was so gaudy that you’d assume it was designed by 45 himself. From the blood red carpets to the gold upholstery, it feels like a throwback to a time where pretense was valued above all else. The food itself was average it best, lacking in flavor, and felt a bit assembly line.
