Got chicken tacos. I have never had dried out, chewy, inedible chicken from Taco Johns before today…this was disgusting! I literally couldn’t even chew up some of the chicken. It was runny and messy and spilled onto my clothes. I have never had food be this disgusting from Taco John’s! The woman that took my order was less than helpful and very unfriendly. She seemed annoyed I asked any questions and got my order wrong saying beef tacos. When I corrected it she said that’s what she had said. I only ate about 1/3 of one of the tacos and couldn’t eat anymore. What a waste of money! I won’t be back to this place!

Best Customer Service and Atmosphere for Fast Food in Waukee!! The store is so clean and the staff is amazing. I particularly love coming in the evening bc the manager I believe her name is Julia and the workers are absolutely awesome! We can’t thank you guys enough for your service and we love bringing our family to your restaurant! Keep it up its hard to find good service and good food for the prices these days but you guys make it worth every penny.

I had just biked 73 miles on June 17 and wanted some quick food. Was craving some potato oles. Went to the order window with no one in front of me. Sat there for almost 10 minutes before someone finally acknowledged me. Then ordered a stuffed grilled taco and a small ole. They messed it up 3 times before having me pull forward. Then when I got to the window a rude lady came up and said “we are not serving you. Have a good night.” And shut the window. I then left starving without any food for no reason and will never go back to that location again! I sent in a review elsewhere and also decided to do this one… nasty service!

My bad habit craving. Far superior to the nearby Taco Bell chain in quality of food. Easy to secure free Potato Olés in their app, which is particularly why I keep coming back. Difficult (read: impossible) to eat healthy with this around the corner. I’ve only ever used the drive through, but the wait is short.

It was good, but asked for no season salt on the potato oles. Felt they were extra greasy, then when I got to the bottom of the cup realized there was a ton of liquid oil in the bottom and it stained what I was wearing. Not cool.
