Checked out Shila Korean Restaurant. It was very good. While orange chicken is not Korean, it was the best I ever had. It was perfectly crispy with the right amount sauce. The kimchi and pickles were tasty. The galbi was flavorful and not too sweet. The bulgoki could have had a little more flavor, but it was not bad. Surprisingly we enjoyed the OhSam Bulgoki which is a mixture of pork and squid. It had more flavor than the beef with a hint of spicy heat. Everyone liked the bibimbob. I liked the noodle dish. Go with a group like we did, order a bunch of dishes, and eat family style. You will have a fun experience that way and can pick out your favorites!

I’ve never had to leave a bad review on a restaurant before even when the food wasn’t good but this time I couldn’t resist. Went there yesterday, ordered tteokbokki a very simple & common rice/fish cake dish I’ve eaten my whole life and a meal I’ve ordered from many Korean restaurants in different places/cities etc. I added two boiled eggs because some places add them and some don’t. The amount of food was very small and they didn’t even add fish cakes which is always in tteokbokki and it cost $18! Tteokbokki is one of the cheapest and easiest Korean dishes to make. I was very disappointed and truly regretted buying it. I’ve had other food from there that was good but yesterday I felt ripped off.

It’s okay. Kimchi seems to always be sour lately and that’s the worst. Especially for me because sometimes I buy extra and get disappointed half the time. It used to be a lot better years ago. That’s why I still come every once in a while… in hope that the food will be as good. The prices are always going up and the portion amount equally go down. It’s crazy how little you get for what you are spending. Especially in this economy and with inflation never ending. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it or any place in town really if you want quality, affordable Korean food. If you want authentic, fresh and affordably priced Korean food I would say go to Cary or Raleigh! It’s a little pricier but the quality and portion to cost ratio is perfect!

I had great experience at Shila Restaurant. The food was great! My wife got the Dol Sot Bibim Bap(sizzling stone rice bowl with all sorts of amazing) and I got the Soon doboo Gigae(spicy tofu soup) Definitely give them a try if you want to try legit traditional korean food in Fayetteville!

Waited an hour(no kidding) for the first dish to be served and the seafood pancake was so burnt. The waiter didn’t even serve water and let us know there’ll be a long waiting time for food, we’d have been prepared if the waiter told us beforehand the long waiting time! We know Shelia’s always have bad service but we still go because it’s close to our place, after this awful experience we will not go back!

Customer service is great and the food is even better! Everything tastes like it is made with love! When in Fayetteville this is definately one of the places you must visit for some good fried rice, bulgogi, and kemchi!

I ordered the galbi. When I started uncovering the pieces on the bottom, it was nothing but bones hidden by some meat that was on top. I left a piece on top for comparison. Not to mention you pay $25 for this. I don’t feel that this food was worth it for the price. I give two stars only because the meat actually received taste pretty good.

A decade ago this resturaunt was on point, everything was fresh, establishment was clean. Sadly this gem has gone down hill; shorter menu with “not-so” good appetising cuisines. 🙁
