Ordered for pick up. Probably can’t see it very well on the picture but clearly they don’t wash their lettuce (or if they do it’s a bang up job) because I kept finding pieces with dirt on them. I thought maybe it was chucks from the grilled chicken, but it was not as it was all over the lettuce only. Food is overpriced. Also their workers don’t wear their masks properly.

After moving off long Island you realize that no other state knows what a hero / BEC SPK is and you come to miss it everyday. Anytime I travel home I make sunset deli one of my first stops! The staff is always welcoming and I know there is a smile underneath those masks. Jen , the manager/ family owner always knows what I am craving from hangover breakfast sandwiches to the piled high heros. This place is must try! 5* all around .

This is the deli I take all of my out of state friends to so they understand what a New York Deli is all about. I have been going to this deli for somewhere around 5 or 6 years and I think in that time I have only received one sandwich that was just slightly less than excellent. In fact, I think everything they make is so excellent that after a while I let them make whatever they wanted to make for me fully knowing that anything they make would be fantastic. We call this the German Roulette. In fact I think it inspires them to make their best possible creations and honestly while every server has his or her own style, they are all in their own way amazing. They always stack the meat high. The subs are always massive. They offer plenty of tasty veggies in their giant salad containers. Friends have claimed that their fresh squeezed orange juice is the nectar of the gods. Their staff is super polite and friendly and they all treat me like a good friend, and ultimately I would rather have someone I know and enjoy make me my food. Iv’e been getting their breakfast bowls a lot recently because first of all whats better than a layer of seasoned potatoes, juicy bacon, and scallions with a runny fried egg on top? No, I can’t think of a better way to start the day either. While a lot of their prices can be expensive (the breakfast bowls are rather cheap especially considering the “bagel shop” that will not be named right down the road will charge you double for the same thing) you can trust that the quality is well beyond the other two delis in the area. Plus I really don’t like dry chewy eggs I get from other delis around here. I’m very fortunate to have such an amazing deli in my life, and although I don’t live in Westhampton anymore, I take every chance I get to stop and get food there. Do yourself a favor and stop on by the Sunset Delicatessen aka the German Deli. (And order a German Roulette if you feel risky and don’t have any allergies or food items you don’t like. They will know what to do)

Thier food has always been on point and they are friendly and kind to boot. They make the most amazing turkey pot pie but they do not make them all the time ☹. They took my number and told me they would call when they had them again, much to my suprise that is exactly what they did.

Let me paint you a picture. You wake up in a bad mood because you forgot to set your alarm, didn’t get to make coffee, you rushed out of your house. I’ve been passing this deli for the past 2 years everyday on my way to work and my best friends been suggesting I try it for the longest time. So on this horrible day I decided to see if I could call ahead and ask if they could get breakfast and some coffee ready for me so I could be in and out in a matter of seconds. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they could do this! Not only was the service amazing but the food was quite possible the best thing I’ve ever eaten. I suggest anyone with a pulse take a moment out of their lives to eat here. 10/10 would eat the breakfast bowl again!
